When I was looking for guilloché effects a while ago, I found this GIMP tutorial, which may be of use if you want to include "banknotey" portraits.

...That sounds good, but I'd also support making 1 bent, 5 bence, 10 bence, 25 bence, 50 bence, 1 louis, 2 louis, and 5 louis coins. Be like the Europeans. And it saves money in the long term. How does it save money in the long term? (I'm not disagreeing, just looking for information.)

... I have never attempted to cast and mold a coin before, and I want to see if it can be done in my workshop. If it can be, then we can decide if we wish to pursue a mass-minting of coins or scrap the whole idea. Capitan Tim: Have you tried this yet?

The banknotes have 5-6 years life but the current coins made by alloy of 75% copper and 25% nickel have much longer in circulation. And that save money.

That's true, for circulating currencies coins save money because they don't have to be replaced as often. Of course, we're talking about more of a collector's item, not something that'll be folded countless times, stuffed carelessly into pockets, accidentally run through the laundry, etc. So initial cost of production is a more important factor for us, I would think, than service life. Another important consideration is security. I think coins would be more secure, as there are a lot of high-quality scanners and printers out there, and proper security features for notes increase the production cost substantially. Another is legality. It's been a while since I looked into the issue, but I think notes have an advantage over coins in that respect.

We'll run into selling these notes will not be as legal tender. One of the most important issues here is the cost of coins and banknotes. Here prevail banknotes. We do market research, and will soon let you know. I made several requests and wait for the response to finish the report. Coins, For example: Size - Gauge - 1,000 0.984" - 16 - $0.62 TOTAL: $620
