Hooligan says we could use the circle-with-a-cross as our symbol. 2¤59 would be 2 louise 59 bence, 2¤ would be two louise, and ¤59 would be 59 bence. {Edited to replace the $ with ¤} In addition to the ¤ symbol, there's also the ℓ symbol for amounts in whole numbers of louise, such as ℓ50 ( lu simeinçe). As for the line: "I promise to pay to the bearer on demand the sum of X louise." Promiséu à paxharh àl porteir sür sieu demandeu l'amint da X luïça.Promiséu à paxhar àl portéir sür sieu demandeu l'amînt da X luïsen. And personally, I kind of like this: We'd just need to change "Gold Coin" to "Beer" and we'd be in business.

Also good, and a fascinating bit of history as well.

If that's the back of the note I would strongly be against putting another face there. Put a landmark or a squirrel on the back of it.
I say the front has a person of national prominence/historical value on the front and the back has a building, plant, animal, scene, or something-of-national-significance-other-than-a-face.
Also- if there would be a way to make the portraits look 'engraved' like on real bank notes, I'd try to do that as well.

As to what currency is backed by- isn't it backed by beer?
Which leaves things a bit hazy. I say we make a national homebrew. It'd make the currency worth something to us Talossans because said homebrew would be difficult to get your hands on, of national importance, and tastefully delicious.

Regarding security: Before I can properly plan out what materials to use I really need to know the exact substrate to be used (as in what the notes are being made from).
I dislike the idea of using different sizes for each denomination.

how about we put something representative of each province. We could have a 1 and 100 denomination so all seven are represented.

That sounds good, but I'd also support making 1 bent, 5 bence, 10 bence, 25 bence, 50 bence, 1 louis, 2 louis, and 5 louis coins. Be like the Europeans. And it saves money in the long term.

Have they always had a 5 Euro note? When I was in Italy the smallest paper denomination I had was a 10 with lower denominations being in coin form.

I used a filter to engrave the portrait of Count Danihel.

Nor have I encountered one either. We just used to use two (2) Euro coins and a (1) Euro coin. Heck, I used the coins a whole lot more than any paper money over there, if the ATM didn't spit it out I never used it.

Here's a proposal from me: I have some "security features" with all the similar colors, gradients, etc. Some other things: I made a 'series number' and 'serial number.' In the serial number (BN000000001) BN means "Benito," where the bill was printed. This would change for each province. I have room for nine digits (which can be expanded, of course) for numbers printed. Sorry for the bad ben glyph, it's still a rudimentary idea. What do you guys think?

I think the King needs to see a dermatologist about that troubling neck-blob.

hhmm... I don't know. I'm just not 'feeling' it with the color set. I think it's the blue thats not right.
