With full support from my new party, the ZPT, I officially announce that I'm again running for senator in Maricopa.
Let's revive this province, folks!
My objectives are:
- To launch a Maricopan website and discussion forum; - To create a provincial court; - To set up a provincial Hopper; - To choose the official provincial entertainer; - To establish cultural exchanges inside and outside the Kingdom; - To open a general discussion on a future political parties' code; - To invite Iustì Canun to join the ZPT :-)
ZPT: for a stronger, more honest and hardworking opposition!

The Maricopan discussion forum I mentioned above will be open to all citizens who wish to express their opinions, make suggestions, analyze and propose bills, exchange ideas with their senator, whatever.
Participation is what makes a province and a country grow and prosper!

Certainly, a Maricopan discussion forum (like the one we're using right now) allows citizens to discuss these issues in public, but some people are a bit shy about posting where everyone can see, or they'll hold back on what they would actually say. If they're allowed to just send an e-mail to their Senator, they'll be less subdued in the expression of their opinions, and the Senator could get a more complete picture of the people he represents.

Well, my e-mail address has always been (and will remain) publicly disclosed - contrary to yours, Iustì, which hides behind the KOTnet mailing list. I'm not afraid of being contacted by anyone and expect the citizens of this province to always interact with me.

In a campaign of ridiculous, hyperbolic attacks by certain politicians, that may be about the most ridiculous and hyperbolic. Well done, you win a prize.

Holding grudges won't take you anywhere, my friend! Put an ice bag on your head and relax.

Oh, that's nice, Xhorxh. Why don't you just say something bad about my mother?
While I don't quite understand what difference it makes whether I have a KoT address or a GMail (or Hotmail or Yahoo!) one, I will disclose ALL of my email addresses here in this thread, for all to see.
IustiCanun (AT) KingdomOfTalossa (DOT) net justinccannon (AT) yahoo (DOT) com justinccannon (AT) hotmail (DOT) com iusticanun (AT) gmail (DOT) com
And don't you also have a KoT.net account? Are you not proud of it? Would you like it removed?

I'm quite happy for my own name to be dragged through the muck. I won't see others attacked in the same base, ridiculous manner.

Oh, that's nice, Xhorxh. Why don't you just say something bad about my mother? Hey, what are you talking about, pal? I've never said bad things about anyone's mother here or anywhere else. Although I'm proud to be Talossan, I always ask everyone to use my regular e-mail accounts. I'm not afraid to disclose them. And I always show my real face on GTalk. The only thing I won't disclose to EVERYONE is my home address, which some people here have known since I became a citizen.

Nothing he said was exaggerated nor meant not to be taken literally; therefore, nothing he said was "hyperbolical." Let this be another example of the double standard that is used by the PP when it comes to *negative campaigning.*

Hey, what are you talking about, pal? I've never said bad things about anyone's mother here or anywhere else. I never said you had. But attacking me for using my KoT e-mail is just about as low. Again: Relevance? I sincerely hope that this is my last post in this thread, as I've tried (successfully but for this thread) throughout this election to refrain from negative campaigning.

Well, my e-mail address has always been (and will remain) publicly disclosed - contrary to yours, Iustì, which hides behind the KOTnet mailing list. Seriously, Xhorxh, the Kingdom makes those addresses available as a service to all citizens, as one more way for Talossans to express their Talossanity. I'm proud to use mine. Why would you want to cast aspersions on that? Nothing he said was exaggerated nor meant not to be taken literally; therefore, nothing he said was "hyperbolical." Let this be another example of the double standard that is used by the PP when it comes to *negative campaigning.* Owen responded to a ridiculous, hyperbolic attack by calling Xhorxh on it. (And without name-calling, thanks Owen.) He was confronting negative campaigning, not initiating it. And if the defense is that Xhorxh's attack was just a joke, I'd say the double standard this incident sheds light on is the continued complaining from ZPT leaders about Owen's blatantly ironic description of JP as a "dictator." Come on, guys.
