Ben once told me that if he had to choose between King and SOS he would choose SOS. I told you he was nuts.
If I can help in any way...

"Free at last, free at last, thank god almighty I am free at last" eh Mick? Well, this is just plain wrong. You can count on me to start working on a law that will make you SOS forever. No, no, don't thank me, you deserve this. (smile) Your one of the greats Captain! Thank you for your service.

Where does it state that the King is better than any other Talossan? Who has ever said that? He was chosen, no, elected by the citizens of the Kingdom was he not? In fact, no one else even wanted the job. We went from a corrupt, dishonest King to one who is admired and respected by the vast majority of citizens, me included. If individuals do not like the monarchy system then by all means seek out another that they do like, or better yet, work with the electorate to change things....if they agree to. I was drawn to Talossa because I liked the constitutional monarchy idea. ( I already live in a Republic) and here was a chance to participate in one.
This is an absolute though. We are the original Kingdom of Talossa, with a continuous history since 1979. The other two Talossa's that currently exist were once a part of this Kingdom and now are not.
As my grandfather reminded me "Any Jack Ass can kick a barn down but it takes a carpenter to build one". Lets keep building.
God Save The Kingdom and God Save our good King John!

Just a thought in response to Seneshal Davis's program to recruit new/more citizens from the GTA.
What about running an Ad in The UW-Milwaukee's campus newspaper? I haven't looked at the cost or anything like that without input from Alexander but it's an idea.
Any other suggestions?

I applaud both of these initiatives. So many people have left Talossa in the GTA because they feel it has left them. An advertising campaign and local effort is a great use of our finances and time. We also need to add to our legal status. If that means an attorney or other means I am all for it. Both these goals give strong support for the need of financial strength.
Good Luck Seneshal! If I can be of any help just ask.

Thanks to our new Seneshal, to Dan, to Dreu and everyone else. I also urge the King to join in this effort. (we owe him money) Thanks again.

Feel free to e-mail me Danihel. (smiling) Any donations to the Kingdom can be sent to the samer address as Party Registration fee's. (talk to the secretary) Truth be told though, none ever has. Lots of suggestions but no one ever seems to act on them.

Congratulations to Mr. Davis. Another fine choice to serve as Seneshal. I look forward to his "to do" list.

Excellent job Mick. I don't know how many people truly appreciate the amount of work you have done for the Kingdom. I do. A salute to the Captain for a job well done!

My fellow Citizens,
Talossa needs money, a cash reserve that can be used for a multitude of things. My favorite is a frame ready "Certificate of Citizenship". There are others. And why should the King have to pay out of his own pocket to sustain our web site? What if we would need an attorney? And rumors here from Mad King Ben makes that a real possibility. Aside from the CLP introducing the party registration fee there has been no other source of income!
What about an annual Voluntary Tax of any amount? A nominal fee for citizenship papers? Selling passports? We must do something to build a strong and viable treasury that could be used to expand and promote the Kingdom and pay our bills.
I am asking each political party to work on this.
Fritz Buchholtz, Burgermeister
ps. If I am going to flee with the funds to Bermuda we must have more money, lots more.

I remember my early conversations with Connie de Winter when she joined the CLP. What an exceptional person. I only wish I could have met her in person.
