I thought they were the eggmen? Sorry. I used the wrong alias there.

... From what I know, an Act of the Ziu can restore his citizenship as can a Prime Dictate from the Seneschal. His citizenship should be restored so he could be tried. Not that I want to see him rot in a dungeon, but that should serve as a strong example that Talossa is something serious, not an RPG.

Without a trial and a decision of a Talossan Court, he only putatively committed a crime, even if he would deliberately admit that he stored some serious firecrackers underneath John's throne.
Also, if he didn't commit a capital crime, the "time window" for legally calling him to account will close after a while and his legal accountability will lapse.
Btw., what are the Talossan requirements for being admitted as a defense counsel?

Btw., what are the Talossan requirements for being admitted as a defense counsel? You must either be a member of the Royal Talossan Bar, or, if no attorney is available le (or there is a reason you cannot engage them) you can petition the judge to allow any Talossan to represent you for the duration of your case unless terminated sooner by your request.

It appears from earlier posts from a Citizen that ESB is ready to face the Talossan justice system; but if at this stage we make an effort to simply remove him at the end of the 'fair' trial, then I'd say that it'll be nothing but a re-enactment of colonial age justice rendering where the result was known irrespective of the proceedings. [Side note: Although such things were common under the different monarchies of the times, the 'guillotine murders' also exposes similar mentalities even amongst the republicans]. Justice that is deserving this name is neither monarchist nor republican, IMO.

I am not in favour of the "death penalty" in this case. I am in favour of having a proper hearing in front of Talossan justice.

Same here, which is why i am for a solution that would allow Eric to return after a while, after he sat off his penalty, if any.
