Yes, they seem to have a good presence in England. Just look at their envoys there. Their Primeminister, who is also their Honorary Consul, and another one too, a Honorary Vice-Consul... But no one in the US? Kind regards, Tony WeckströmDPD MC Love the way that it seems to have an origin in Britain, amongst other things; only because that's the country I live in.

Really ! Then it's unheard of. No so-called "honorary" position has ever come with immunities, especially if you are a citizen of the US as well as a Talossan. In fact the DA has broken the Vienna Conventions by doing what he/she did... An ambassador of Goodwill is never an active diplomatic position, but more an honorary position. Look to the Vienna Convention of Diplomatic Affairs, and Consular Affairs. If you can get the DA to give you official paperwork that you are absolved from parking tickets, you might also be absolved from all other taxes - that is something the US State Department should be made aware of, since they are the ones that confirm the diplomatic positions of foreign diplomats in the US, and thereby they also issue paperwork, so that you might receive real diplomatic license plates for your vehicle. If you can get all that done, it would truly make it easier for all members of our diplomatic corps to receive the same immunities, and respect that is shown to foreign envoys. As to why I am now supporting that our citizens identity be confirmed, is that our esteemed Defense Minister claimed in PM to me that I am not who I say I am, but some other person. Therefor I would be ready to show to the right official copies of my Finnish passport and driving license - so that no one can say I am not who I claim to be. Kind regards, Tony WeckströmDPD MC Actually I can confirm that Milwukee accepted my claim of being an Ambasador of Good Will from the Kingdom of Talossa. As a matter of fact the DA absolved my recent parking Violation in the Regipats Talossan! Next time I am asked to drive a vehicle with the state flags and make myself further aware of Motor Vehicle Laws of Milwauke. A reasonable request I am sure. The point is that we are more than a message board and you are right Tony, we should verify ID better, hence the security clearance proceedure changes that are going on in the law. As a matter of fact you voted against it... not sure why you are against it though it seems to further your point here. Anyhow we are making great strides and need to fine tune our approach before we make a commitment to raising the funds necessary to make this next leap, if we continue this direction at all. It is a proud day to be a Talossan.

Being realistic here now.
No real state/country will grant Talossa sovereignty over territories that belongs to the US.
To buy an islands off the coast of Vanuatu still would belong to Vanuatu, and proclaiming it independent from Vanuatu would only mean trouble. To proclaim such an island independent, it would have to have a real government there, citizens living there, that really want independence, and the process would take many years if not decades.
Looking through the Internet it seems, that Talossa is regarded only as a imaginary, simulated "country" with absolutely no legal standing in any way. For example; our ambassadors do not get an exequatur from their receiving state, nor do they receive immunities in any way. Has even one ambassador presented his/her credentials to the Foreign Ministries of the countries they are assigned to???
Our citizens come from all over the World, but we don't actually know who these people are. We have no real proof of a person being from a certain country, or if he/she is the person he/she is claiming to be - we don't check real ID's.
UNPO could argue that we have no proof of even having real citizens. Furthermore, the charges to apply to the UNPO and the annual fee is so great, that if we don't even have the funds to mint coins, then how would we have funds to join UNPO???
Kind regards,
Tony Weckström DPD MC

Perhaps it would be better to wait until the United States recognizes Talossa, and offers any site a diplomatic status - otherwise you would only have an office/embassy - but no real official standing. So should you buy a property, it could be a good investment in any case, but renting one as a sole purpose for an embassy might be a waste of money... Kind regards, Tony WeckströmPresident of the DPD Ex-Royal Ambassador Are there qualitifications for suitable property? Should others (such as myself) make a similar search? There are, at present no qualifications and anyone who would like to aid me in my search for suitable property is more than welcome to do so.

As seen below, I have been informed that I am accused of breaking the law "The semi-permeable act". SO I HAVE BEEN TOLD OF CHARGES!!! Kind regards, Tony WeckströmPresident of the DPD Ex-Royal Ambassador The former Ambassador was informed in private about his dismissal. This was done with respect for his previous efforts in office, so as not to make a public display of the matter. The government has nothing but gratitude for those Talossans who serve their country in an administrative office, and will always try to accord such courtesy to officials whenever possible. MC Wekstrom, however, has very publicly demanded that we announce the reasons for his dismissal, and given his persistence, the office of the Seneschal feels that it must oblige in the interests of open government and transparent service to the people. Clearly has has waived whatever right to privacy and has certainly burnt the remnants of our willing courtesy. MC Wekstrom was removed based on the belief that he has violated Talossan statute 25RZ50, "The Semi-Permeable Wall Act," as well as five or six other laws with whose violation he has not yet been formally charged. For obvious reasons, we cannot discuss the evidence or specific items that gave us this belief, since a criminal case is pending once the Cort accepts the charges. If the Cort decides not to accept the charges or once the case is completed, if MC Wekstrom still desires he will have the wherewithal and evidence to publicly declare such matters for himself and make the documentation available. If he decides he no longer wishes to take that route but the citizenry demands it, the office of the Seneschal will confer with counsel as to the best course of action. Okay... this is SO the last time I'm saying this. Tony- No charges have been brought against you, so you have not been told of any charges. It's really not that hard. Similarly, if the police suspected me of a crime in the US, they would not tell me that they suspected me--they would use this time to gather evidence against me, THEN, charge me with a crime and arrest me. I am glad that the charges, although only one charge has been made public, and the whole event is public, since it is important in a democracy - not to keep things hidden from the people. Don't you agree? And that is what the DPD party also stands for. Kind regards, Tony Weckström President of the DPD Ex-Royal Ambassador I have simply tried to find out what I am criminally being accused of! If you would be accused of a crime, wouldn't you also like to know what crime that is?! Yes, I would, as most would, I assume. But I don't believe the are ANY charges as of yet. would you just sit back, and not want to know what you are being charged with? Had you been 'sitting back' NO ONE would of had a ill word to say of you, with the possible exception of the PM. However you have not sat patiently, you have stomped you feet and made a pain of yourself to all. Well the 'meat' of the charges (if there ever are any) has been publicly disclosed. Are you now satisfied?

And what is the physical address to the Embassy, so one can stop by for a visit?? The only place I can find a link to the UK embassy is on the page "Cabinet." The page is dead, so all links should probably be removed.

Seeing that I am being accused of breaking the law in regards to the semi permeable act, which I just found out - is the reason why this post took so long to enter... And no I do not spend all my time looking for things to complain about. What have I complained about that you are so frustrated with? I have simply tried to find out what I am criminally being accused of! If you would be accused of a crime, wouldn't you also like to know what crime that is?! For example you receive a PM saying, your are "Fired for cause" "you will be faced with criminal charges" - and that's all you hear, would you just sit back, and not want to know what you are being charged with? Do you spend ALL of your time looking for things to complain about? The post you quote is over 3 months old.

I received a notice by email to my old ambassadorial email from New Texas. Apparently we are now also at war I wanted to make this public, unless no one else from the government has received this? Apparently the UNMCN is a micronational organization with more than one micronation, headed by new texas, by a Patron McCleary, and Ambassadors in India and other countries too (Croatia, Nigeria). In the email was a strange declaration of war against us. See >> www.unmcn.org/ADW.pdfShould this be considered as a joke as with the "war with New Texas and the Grand Duchy of Elsanor", or what? BTW: The Grand Duchy of Elsanor has now completely disappeared from the net!!! Minister of Defence and PM; what precautions if any will Talossa take? Kind regards, Tony WeckströmPresident of the DPD Ex-Royal Ambassador to Finland

The DPD / and I Tony Weckström do hereby second and support this act. Kind regards, Tony WeckströmPresident of the DPD Ex-Royal Ambassador WHEREAS our present military structure is unsustainable with our present manpower and WHEREAS we should focus on quality rather than quantity and WHEREAS the Marine Corps and Air Corps have traditionally had very few recruits and WHEREAS our nation would best be served if the Marine and Air Corps were merged completely into the Navy, sharing a common ranking system and chain of command so THEREFORE, the Marine and Air Corps are from this day absorbed into the Talossan Navy, with their respective personnel transferring their rank to the naval equivalent immediately. Are you not now also breaking the Semi-Permeable Wall Act by answering to this micronation?!The Prime Ministry, seeing as how the Foreign Minister is inactive, has a stock response to inquiries like this (which it receives all the time). If the good Ambassador could forward the original message to me, I will see to it that this organisation receives the official response of His Majesty's government. Hooligan

What is a COUNSEL'S GENERAL? ? ;D You must mean Consul-General? Right? Or do we now have Counselors that have their own Generals??? ;D And I also think the United States have their own Embassy websites, perhaps you meant a Talossan Embassy to the US?? ;D Happy new year! And sorry - just had to correct you on those points... Tony WeckströmEx-Royal Ambassador President of the DPD It gives me great pleasure to announce that I have appointed Danihel A. Forrestal [sorry no accents] to the vacant office of Counsel's General to the United States of America. I have charged him with getting a new online US Embassy up and running as soon as possible, much like the current Irish Embassy found from the Kingdom's website. I have full confidence in S:reu Forrestal and trust that he will execute his duties with the utmost in excellency.

I have NOT violated the Semi-Permeable Wall Act. Any communication to me from a micronation, or whatever form they wish to call themselves, has been on their part contacting me as Talossa's representative. I have not in an official capacity however spoken to, written to or in any way been in contact with these micronations. I have had an automatic signature-answer, that Talossa does not recognize nor communicate with micronations. That is all they have gotten from me. The Royal Invitation was sent to me, I did not respond to it, but delivered it to the government, and as far as I know neither I, or the government never responded to it. As a private person; I have never been involved with a micronation state, as a citizen or otherwise. I do not believe, that the law can be so strict as to interpret contact with a micronation to be official on my part, if I am the one being contacted, but not answering back at all. That is a one-sided conversation. I must make this clear. I have never sent an official letter or email on behalf of Talossa to any micronation, which you surely can check with any micronation. The only one that contacted me was the Mirage Islands and New Texas during their "war" with the Grand Duchy of Elsanor. Not one of these "states" ever received an official answer from me as Royal Ambassador. Also, if the law is so strict, then why was I asked to provide the Royal Invitation to be seen by the government? Surely then those in the Government should also be in violation of the same law, if exactly NO contact is allowed!!! (I believe those were Cpt. Mick, and Hooligan) Furthermore, when I was appointed as Ambassador, I was fairly new to Talossa, and should have been advised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that absolutely NO contact is allowed with micronations. All I ever heard was to politely answer, that we do not associate, recognize or want anything to do with micronations. If THIS law is the reason for my dismissal "for cause", and the root to my CRIMINAL charges, then I don't know if I should laugh or cry. Surely a warning would have been enough instead of removing an Ambassador from office. As we have our laws, where does it say what punishment we have for breaking these laws? Are we innocent until proven guilty? Does the state have the burden of proof? Or does the accused have to prove his own innocence? Will you call the New Texan Ambassador as a witness against me? Oh boy - have happy new year everyone! Kind regards, Tony WeckströmPresident of the DPD Ex-Royal Ambassador to Finland The former Ambassador was informed in private about his dismissal. This was done with respect for his previous efforts in office, so as not to make a public display of the matter.
