I cannot say that I do. Having perused the design work of the College, they're all delightful. So is there a fellow who has a pretty clear docket?

I've asked the Columcille Pursuivant to take your request.
Be careful, he can be grumpy. But he's pretty good at what he does.

I am the Columcille Pursuivant, and would be happy to present a draft of arms along those lines to His Majesty the King of Talossa, to whom we all have swor...uh, to whom we all...uh, to whom...anyway..., yes :-) the draft of arms you have proposed seems legal and valid, and I will work it up for presentation in a petition to see if His Majesty the King of Talossa is inclined to grant it to you as his loyal subject :-) .

By the mercy of the king, it is my hope that he will not begrudge me my freedom of conscience. If so, he is only exercising his own.

By the mercy of the king, it is my hope that he will not begrudge me my freedom of conscience. If so, he is only exercising his own. Then perhaps you should not ask this same King to grant you these Arms?

I humbly appreciate the benefits granted unto me by my King, to paraphrase my oath. And I most certainly do. And I hold gentle status by virtue of my Talossan citizenship.
Should his majesty refuse the grant of arms, he only exercises the same divinely-given rights which I have done. Yet I see no conflict between my reservations regarding the oath and my own request for arms from a sovereign monarch I both love and respect. If his majesty were more adamant about oaths being sworn to him, I might think differently.

MY question is, pure and simple: If you refuse to return the Oath as written, and refuse to swear allegiance to the King - should you not accept Arms awarded to you by that very same King?

I see no conflict between accepting arms and refraining from swearing allegiance. So yes, I should.

I see no conflict between accepting arms and refraining from swearing allegiance. So yes, I should. I do. If you refuse to return the Oath as it stands now, and if you refuse to swear Allegiance to the King - Then I will refuse ask the SKA, and then the King to grant you this CoA. You don't get to have it both ways.

You don't get to have it both ways. MIck, you are proving that the problem with the monarchy isn't the king but what monarchy does to people. You are behaving disgracefully and should consider resign from the college. You should also seek honorary membership in the ZRT. You're doing a much better job of undermining the monarchy than they are.
