A few explanations of my votes:

Item 5: a full Constitutional Convention at this stage is unnecessary, and premature. The time for a ConCom will be at the point where we think we have a good majority for declaring The New Republic.

Item 8: I explained this before; this is a "half-assed" way of declaring a Republic, which would be useful as a compromise proposal but since it would be rejected anyway, best not to put it on the table yet.

Item 9: this is pretty much the same as item 8, a "backdoor" way of declaring a Republic, subject to the same criticism; but I won't oppose it.

Item 11: I've spent 15 years as a Talossan and micronationalist opposing the diplomatic-relations game and I'm too old to change now.

Item 14: as written, this would prevent my preferred solution of "Gramsci Province". Who's "a politician", anyway? Was Gandhi a politician?

Item 16: I'm not sure what the issue here is. The problem with the Appointees isn't that they're also elected politicos, it's that they're appointees, which Item 17 correctly addresses.

16 is ment to stop more that one person from occupying more than one possition of power on a provincial level. Because if one oerson is a cunsterval in one province and a head of government in another. They have too much influence over mulitiple provinces which is unfair.

But do the Appointees actually have any power? During the post-KR1 era, help me out people who know more history of what happened during the Two States period, have the Appointees ever overridden an elected provincial government?

True but that argument brings into question there relevence. Are they needed if they dont actualy do anything usefull? Why not have a presedential provincial setup instead? This also stops citizens from working in more than one province. Shouldnt citizens just work in the orovince they reside in for fairness? It also gives possiblities for more citizens to get into politics whi h may help us.

My proposal to eradicate the position of Cunstaval deals with providing a more presidential set-up for Provinces.

Yeah i know. But m still strongly against people holding more than one posistion of power in the role of a provincial head and cunsterval. I just yhink it unfair.

If the Constitution is passed, the CC will have the freedom to alter this manifesto anyway. Some of the more specific items could be generalized etc. etc.

The question is as follows:

That this Convention adopt the following Manifesto for the next Cosa (subject to future change under the Constitution of the ZRT).

1. A compulsory secret ballot, rather than the optional one introduced by recent legislation.

2. Mandatory candidate lists for Cosâ elections.

3. The government to deliver a financial report at the end of each Cosa term, to provide a starting point for the next term's budget.

4. ZRT provincial representatives to support their provinces to shift to a framework of direct democracy, such as already exists in Fiôvâ and has been suggested for Vuode.

5. A programme of "slimming down" the OrgLaw, leaving it with only the basics of government - for example, moving electoral law into statute law.

6. The ZRT will support no government which includes members of the RUMP, until such time as the RUMP has been out of government for at least one Cosâ term.

7. A Talossan Legal Code Act would be implemented in order to codify the Statutory Law into a format that is both easily referred to and ‘articles’ easily located. This job would be taken over by agents of the elected government, from the people in the Royal Household who are currently (not) doing it.

8. The royal house has no business in most of what it has. Eliminate everything but the College of Arms from Royal authority - for example, the Chancery to become an independent branch of Government, the University of Talossa devolved to a provincial government, etc.

9. A popular initiative option to remove an incompetent monarch as well as the current Ziu-based one.

10. Simple abolition of the Semi-Permeable Wall Act; failing that, support of the current MRPT programme for amendment.

11. Establish a neutral and informative presence on micronational forums, and the King should do a Reddit AMA.

12. A Translator's Corps to be set up in consultation with CÚG, to ensure that all important documents are translated into (one of the accepted orthographies of) el glheþ talossán.

13. That the party moves to agitate at a provincial level for the renaming of provinces with the names of foreign politicians, replacing them with Talossan names instead.

14. Legislate to allow the Ziu to step in to fill provincial offices, according to provincial law, when it is clear that the stipulations of that province's constitution have been neglected.

15. Introduce legislation stating that a single person cannot simultaneously be the head of a provincial government and the Cunstavál of a province.

16. Agitate for necessary changes to the Organic Law so that the currently unelected position of Cunstaval is replaced with an elected position of the same nature, who will be appointed by the King following their successful election.

17. A ZRT-led government will call for an additional forum on Wittenberg, moderated but open to non-Talossans of good will who wish to engage with us, like the old "Landing Pier" on Witt-XII (the old Republican Witt).
