First of all, I apologize for being away from this thread for a few days, but it really grew too fast for me to follow, as I have been using my few vacation days working on my newly-launched conlang.
I would like to say that:
1. I did NOT mean to attack the LRT directly.
2. I really sent PMs and emails to several people discreetly asking them to vote for my party, including prospectives too.
I was not aware that this tradition of not lobbying newbies even existed (because it's not a law!), as I've never been deeply engaged in Talossan politics. I inadvertently did it too (and only after I noticed that others were doing it), as a kind of normal political self-defense move.
Everybody knows that we CCCP members are far from being loud or flashy, and ours is maybe the party that has appeared the least on this campaign.
3. I only got aware of the real threat the procedure of lobbying or recruiting prospectives places to Talossa's political stability after S:reu Davis drew everyone's attention to the subject.
4. I totally agreed with him at first but then, after talking with Dreu, Brenéir and others (including King John), who feared that freedom of speech might be at stake, I decided to push for the 3- or 4-month probationary period alternative.
5. I think it is time this thread stopped, as no big harm was done but things sort of got out of hand and unnecessary personal attacks and aggressions occurred, which we do not intend to kindle or support.
