Combing through the laws has been an interesting journey, and most interesting is the number of laws which were known to exist but where the text has been lost. Often, even the title is gone... there's just a number. Has any thought been given about this? Obviously I can't float a bill, though if could it might look something like this: So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Good Night to Missing Acts in Still in Force Act WHEREAS 9RC13 was passed and in-force as of June 1989 but the text is missing WHEREAS 31RZ17, 31RZ18 and 31RZ22 were passed and in-force as of May 2003 but are also missing WHEREAS 32RZ30 was passed and in-force as of April 2004 but is… missing WHEREAS 34RZ5 and 34RZ8, were passed and in-force as of April 2005 but are–wait for it–missing WHEREAS the Kingdom of Talossa has managed to function despite the lack of the application of laws it cannot possibly knowingly enforce because no-one knows what they were about WHEREAS it makes us look like a bunch of dunderheads to have active laws on the books that we lost a decade or more ago THEREFORE we, the [some organization with that power], hereby do repeal 9RC13, 31RZ17, 31RZ18, 31RZ22, 32RZ30, 34RZ5 and 34RZ8. Thanks S:reu Pinátsch, but as I indicated in the PM you sent me, only a sitting member of the Ziu can propose laws into the Hopper. Also, with the almost guaranteed passage of our new body of law, El Lexhatx, I would venture to say that the vast majority of our law will be incorporated into the new one and these laws you referred to (which are indeed missing most likely) wouldn't be in force anyway. Plus, not be be TOO picky, it is Auf Wiedersehen, not Wuf Wiedersehen (at least in the part of Germany where I was born and the version of German I speak).

"Auf" Wiedersehen. Thanks. The Lexhatx repeals all of the legislation that it replaces (in combining the laws together), but none of these MIA laws are addressed.

Thanks S:reu Pinátsch, but as I indicated in the PM you sent me, only a sitting member of the Ziu can propose laws into the Hopper. Actually, any citizen can post a draft bill in the Hopper. Only sitting members of the Ziu can sponsor/co-sponsor bills for said bill to be eligible for Clarking.

That is certainly a useful way for citizens with no particular political affiliation to contribute ideas for the general benefit of the RT. Any party is free to take this idea and run with it, or ignore it.

A quick search of the database (Talossa.ca) shows that 31RZ17, 31RZ18, 31RZ22 and 32RZ30 are actually in the database and so are not missing. These laws are not on the Wiki but that could easily be rectified. The remaining laws, 9RC13, 34RZ5 and 34RZ8 are indeed missing (unless someone has them).
To clean all of this up, we will probably want someone to enter these laws into the Wiki. As for the bill, I would be glad to be the sponsor of the bill (I would need to "resubmit it" on a separate thread). Let's talk a bit more about this and see what we can accomplish.

I took the wiki at its word (well, label) that the laws were missing. If it was a question of them not being entered yet I'd have expected those entries to be simply blank. As for the bill, I would be glad to be the sponsor of the bill (I would need to "resubmit it" on a separate thread). Let's talk a bit more about this and see what we can accomplish. Meirci, S:reu. I'd appreciate that very much.

In reality, until our current SOS came back, those laws were missing entirely and no one has probably thought to look through both sites to see what can be reconciled. I will introduce the bill later today.

There are also some Prime Dictates missing, or at least absent from the wiki. I wasn't sure if they should be included in this draft so I left them out.

I'm not entirely sure if the Ziu actually repeals PD's. Any lawyer type know the answer? Yes, PDs function as normal statutes, and may be amended or repealed by the Ziu at will. We have no special category of law. As to any unaddressed bills: el Lexhatx repeals anything not specifically addressed. There is a clause that blanket-eliminates all prior law. I tried to consider and judge every single bill extant, but I also wanted to be clean and sure. The uncertainties of any past law are done and dead.

Here is 31RZ17: www.talossa.ca/files/bills.php?cosa=31&sorting=Name#rz17RZ17 - The GO MU Act Published in Clark #3 Statute WHEREAS, the basketball team from Marquette University, a prestigious institution of higher education located in the Talossan Greater Area, has reached the Final Four of the NCAA U.S. collegiate basketball championships; and WHEREAS, the Talossan people have always expressed their support for athletic teams from the Greater Talossan Area; and WHEREAS, Marquette University is the alma mater of several prominent Talossan citizens such as Matthias Muth (hence the term "Mugrad"); THERFORE, no matter what Talossan citizen and former KU band geek Quedeir Castiglha will tell you, the Ziu is proud to express its support for the Marquette University men's basketball team, and urges all Talossan citizens to root loudy for the Golden Eagles.
