Azul!
Marc Moisan and I are working on a commemorative 25th anniversary edition of Støtanneu. We hope to have it completed by the 25th anniversary of Talossa, 26 December 2004.
Anyone who wants to submit anything for it, please contact me or Mark. So far, the issue will have a traditional Støtanneu format (including the Green Sheet) and contains articles on Talossan history and identity. We plan on making multiple copies as handouts to people, as well as mailing them to RT citizens around the world as a tangible sign of membership in our twenty-five-year-old nation.
Anyone looking to contribute, please let us know!
Thanks,
Ben (editor-in-chief)

Great news!
If I can think of anything that should go in it I will let you know. What about a listing of all of the Monarchs, Regents and Prime Ministers?

Azul Mark,
Thanks for the Christmas card!
We're looking for people to contribute, and if you have all that information, feel free to send it in. I could do it myself from here, but I'm already working on a couple other things for Stot.
Thanks!
Ben

There's a Talossan word, stentar, that means "to look at each other, each one hoping that the other will take some action that both sides know is necessary, but that neither is willing to do..." Seriously, as I said in my e-mail, just give me an assignment and a deadline and I'll have it done. I've offered to do the Green Sheet, but got no reply. Unless I hear otherwise, I will start the Green Sheet tonight and have it in the mail to you by the end of the week. How long is the historical synopsis that I sent you? One page (Stot format) or two? Are you looking at a 6 or 8 page publication? Ben

Yes, by all means work on that. Well... In truth it depends of the font size used... I have tried different formats and I think we can have between half a page to a page without being excessively big or small. More to follow. Cheers, Marc Moisan, C.D.

The Green Sheet is done, ready to go. I have to drive past the all-night post office to pick up a cheque at my father-in-law's house for the baseball tickets we're buying. Now if I can just find your address... The Green Sheet looks really good. I scanned the original masthead artwork from a 1996 copy of Støtanneu and it dropped in nicely. Found some nice material from past issues... including an editorial by Gruber defending me against charges made by Lawless. > Well... In truth it depends of the font size used... > I have tried different formats and I think we can have between half a page to a page without being excessively big or small. More to follow. If you can do it on a page (half a page seems WAY too small for the amount of material I sent!), how about running it as page 5 of a 6 page issue? Remember, page 6 will only be half a page as the top of the fold is where you write in the recipient's address, etc. If there's space left over, you an always pull in a picture from the website. I'll e-mail you a picture Amy just took of me for the Estonian magazine. What other material do we have? Did I do a generic welcome for page 1, or are you going to handle that? I'd love to do a quick review of how Talossa works (OrgLaw, separation of powers, what the Ziu is, that sort of thing). BTW, if you do decide to run an 8 page issue (which I'd advise against, at this stage of the game) I didn't put page numbers on the Green Sheet, so it will run as pages 3/4 of a 6 pager or 5/6 of an 8 pager. This brings back a lot of memories... I used to pump out a 6 or 8 page Støtanneu two or three times a month! With sufficient public interest and activity, there's no reason we can't make this a monthly or quarterly project in the future, should we choose to go that route. Ben

I would love to see a return of an actual published Stot, even a few times a year. I would be more than willing to assist with this project; I wish I had the time to contribute to the commemorative 25th anniversary edition that is coming out. I am looking forward to receiving my copy!

As Postmaster General, I have a question as to how these copies of Stot will be mailed to citizens. I am hoping that they will be placed in a suitable envelope so as to protect the newspaper so that citizens will be able to keep them as souvenirs. (Since I never really get to do anything as Postmaster General, I figured this was an opportunity to get to use my title in some official capacity )

> As Postmaster General, I have a question as to how these copies of Stot will be mailed to citizens. I am hoping that they will be placed in a suitable envelope so as to protect the newspaper so that citizens will be able to keep them as souvenirs. Well, to be honest, we had planned to mail them out in the traditional fashion: the top of the back page (page 6) is left as a blank box, and you write the addressee's name in the centre of it and put a stamp in the upper right corner. The whole thing is folded over and sealed with tape. > (Since I never really get to do anything as Postmaster General, I figured this was an opportunity to get to use my title in some official capacity ) Power without responsibility, that is the greatness of Talossa! I will give that plan my stamp of approval! If it is folded that will offer sufficient protection, no envelope will be necessary.

I wish to (grudgingly, yet admiringly) congratulate Stotanneu on its 25th anniversary. It is quite a sobering thought --- that ol' rag has been around for something like 61% of my lifetime on EARTH! Scary. Congrats...and here's to 25 more successful years! (grumble, grumble, snarl). --- Mesozoic Metáiriâ
