Ehh.....I wouldn't say he did great things, exactly. He was no Hitler, at least.

I Beg to Differ, Much of What Mussolini did for his country was great, and I am Proud that my Grandfather Served him. Please specify. Adolf Hitler brought the Weimar Republic out of its disasterous economic depression.... at the cost of the political freedoms of a good chunk of the German citizenry and the lives of millions. Iosef Stalin industrialized the Soviet Union.... at the cost of millions of lives and virtually every political freedom one can think of. Kurt Schuschnigg supposedly brought glory back the the Austrian people... at the cost of a civil war which claimed thousands, the political freedoms of Austrians, and ultimately the independence of Austria. Mussolini subjugated and colonized African countries.... and.... umm... killed people. Good job. Either way, I will agree that Benito is a far more appropriate name for the province than Mussolini. I'm glad we finally got around to doing this. ;D

Prospective Lessig, if you had read the bill you would know that in fact the citizens of Mussolini DID vote such, and their premier has approved it. Due process of law is being followed, and no one is forcing anything on them.
As to the forming of the bill, as it is a single bill no matter how it is written all of the parts would become effective at the same time; i.e. the time of referendum, I believe. Half of a bill cannot be enacted. We should compile the laws and areas that need to be changed here, and then write a separate bill which addresses the statutory parts. I wasn't so worried about speed here, but if there is concern about when the parts would happen, this is the solution.

Prospective Lessig, if you had read the bill you would know that in fact the citizens of Mussolini DID vote such, and their premier has approved it. Due process of law is being followed, and no one is forcing anything on them. I should have pointed that out, being one of the (several) people who proposed it at one time or another. Thanks for that. I know this is probably because it's 2.00 in the morning and I'm dead-tired, and I apologize for it.... but what exactly are you suggesting? I daresay I don't quite comprehend.

I'm suggesting that we actually do not alter this original amendment, but instead compile a list of statutory changes for a separate bill. They would be passed after a single Clark, rather than waiting months to wait for the amendment referendum.

Ah, thank you for clarifying. That does certainly sound sensible and practical, and I'm not a huge fan of unnecessarily lengthy bureaucracy.... I think it's a good idea. Additionally, "Furthermore, the Ziu hereby directs the administrator of Wittenberg to change the name of the individual provincial message board to reflect this change." is my first suggested amendation. This too is certainly a good idea. I'd also request having name "Mussolini" replaced with "Benito" on the KoT.net site as well.

Maestro Vürinalt is going to draft a bill to amend statutory law to reflect the name change. I think I may pass along the directive to change the name of the Provincial Board on Witt to him also.
This way the People to Provinces Act can be changed and the board can be updated without waiting for a referendum.

Listen up... the guy was hung upside down. Obviously he wasn't too great. If you are proud that your grandfather served him you may seriously want to reconsider.
EDIT: After thinking about this some more, I am extremely offended by this comment as someone who's relatives died in concentration camps during the fascist reign of HItler.

I hate Mussolini for what Mussolini did, let's not lump in what Hitler did with Mussolini. Otherwise the blood of countless Soviet citizens is on American hands, too.

So then, the Maestro will propose a separate bill to change the board on Witt and applicable statutory laws. This should enable us to achieve our goals in the most time efficient manner. Anyone object to the present wording of this amendment to the OrgLaw?
If not, I ask that Maestro Matáiwos Vürinalt be added as a sponsor (per his request) and this sucka' be clarked, yo.
