I think Epic is sick this week, Ian. Just FYI.
I think it's kind of bizarrely amazing how fast this legislation has come together, by the way. Maybe pretty soon we set it out for wider comment?

If I can just butt in here... This is exactly the type of conflicting situation I was afraid of when this committee was formed. You've spent all the work and effort carrying out what you set out to do concurrently to a bill being passed that would organize a royal commission. Regardless of whether your intentions were malicious or not, AD, this entire committee has wrought conflicting ideas and situations to a much-needed reform. Now, as potential members of the commission, I would like for the work that's done here to be brought to the commission for deliberation, but end this conflict before our clear initiatives whither away.

Francal, what has been wrought is almost a finished bill that will improve an entire article of the Organic Law. It hasn't hurt anyone or gotten in anyone's way. Everyone is welcome, including Dama Miestra, as I have made clear. We're just here to do work and improve the law.
I'm not sure in what way we're interfering, here. I have heard that my colleagues are getting an earful for not going along with the Government program, but I'm not really sure what's at stake here. You guys issue a majority report, and we'll chat about bills and keep doing work here. No one loses.
Congratulations on being appointed to the Commission, by the way! I hope you guys turn out a great report. And speaking of that, I urge you to take your time and calmly consider potential reforms, and to listen to everyone's opinions. There will be a moment of discussion when the majority wants to move on, and a minority wants to keep discussing something. And that minority will be accused of just delaying, or taking too long, or being obstructionist, or something else, and the majority will be tempted to just move on. At that moment, I urge you to stop and think and listen. We know each other a little bit, so I actually think you'll do a great job and do that.

I am not sure what Françal is referring to? What conflicting situation has arisen here that would hinder the Royal Commission from doing their job? See it this way: we declutter, and you can work on the decluttered versions. Much better, no?

Let's not worry about it. Epic, could you post your last version with the new proposed changes, and we'll get on with it?

Magniloqueu Épiqeu da Lhiun, why don't we aim to get this bill to the next Clark? If you could post your current version with those edits Ian mentioned, we could see if there's anything else we need to change.

Very sorry for the delay! My bathroom is being reconstructed/modified, wherefore I cannot be at home, because it is very, very noisy and very dusty. I cannot take my laptop with me, because it is broken. I don't have any money to buy me a new one. Anyway, here you are:
I hope it is satisfactory.

I don't see any problems. I'm going to ask Sir C. M. Siervicül to take a look, since his legal judgment is very sharp, but I'm happy with this.

Should we attempt to Clark this now or just wait until next term? And if the former, who is the sponsor?

Since I hope we'll be in general agreement before we Clark it, I think we could all sponsor it. If you mean the primary sponsor, it doesn't really matter. You could do it, if you wanted to keep up your bill barrage

Ah, I am sorry. I didn't think to include the instructions (i.e. "WHEREAS"-sections)!
Yes, what AD said: I would be happy to co-sponsor.
But I would actually think it best, if we held off on Clarking this until the Royal Commission finally convened.

You could do it, if you wanted to keep up your bill barrage We have less than a day to get to "general agreement" if we aren't already there (though I think we are). I was more talking about whether we should start a new thread with only the finished product in it, and then link to there when we ask mpf to put it on the Clark (that way he would know what version, and the 10-day minimum would still be met).
I did mean primary sponsor (I considered it a given that everyone else would be a co-sponsor). It really doesn't matter, as you said, except that someone has to turn it in if we want it Clarked, and that is the job of the primary sponsor. I could do, but not because I am power hungry (or maybe so?)

But I would actually think it best, if we held off on Clarking this until the Royal Commission finally convened. Don't get your hopes up; that is not likely to happen anytime soon. If this is ready, I say we move forward. We are not bound to the Commission in any way.
If you are concerned about being rude to the Commission members by stepping on their toes, keep in mind I am (a bit grudgingly) on the Commission, and don't care one little bit.
