You may impeach me for raising my voice in these chambers, and I humbly beg your indulgence, but when AD does not write more than "ok", he is seriously pissed, dismayed, and has no will to express any of those feelings.
Am I close?

I'm none of those things, don't worry. I think this is mildly unwise, but not much more than that, and not worth any more of a fuss. Carry on, mo worries

A couple of comments from me:
1.) On asking the Chancery to coordinate our elections - NO! They couldn't even get the national elections done in a timely and organized manner. 2.) Magnates, I am okay with this. But what is a 'Magnate' in our Province? 3.) I am not fond of the new election law proposed. I really feel that we should stick to a simple announcement that you want to be in the Assembly, and that be that. You may designate someone as your proxy if you are not going to be active. This election, and waiting for results, is getting tiring.

Good.
Just a word I found starting with M, so the honorific is Mmm. If you have anything better I'll hear it.
Some people are not active enough to even know what proxy to appoint.

Well, if they are not active enough to appoint a proxy, then they are probably not active enough to claim their seat in the Assembly...

Well, if they are not active enough to appoint a proxy, then they are probably not active enough to claim their seat in the Assembly... Of course not! So if they are not active enough to either hold a seat or designate a single person, why not let them vote for a party? Votes from less active people still should count just as much

I dunno. I really want to remove 'parties' from our provincial government.

I dunno. I really want to remove 'parties' from our provincial government. I don't like two-party systems, but with 4 parties represented provincially I don't think its a big deal.

Well, without any parties... we, as citizens of MM, can run our own province.

Just because there are parties doesn't mean that they're running the show. I even came up with a whole separate MRPT provincial platform for MM which dealt with provincial issues. Provincially, parties mean less, but they are still helpful for organization.

I personally am a fan of a more directly democratic government in the provinces. Regardless of who votes, the reality is our provincial activity is only carried out by half a dozen citizens. If we align our government with the principles of direct democracies, we could get things done more effectively and efficiently

I suppose I could be open to this idea. So, you're proposing an idea similar to the Cabana, except proxies can be appointed if desired?

See I also have an issue with proxy voting. I understand it'll be effective, but I'm not sold with the idea of having someone step in for you when you can't be around. It sorta takes away the principles of elected democracies (yeah I know I said we should be more direct but we're also elected)
