Ok this looks like it is going to be a VERY long process as only 9 votes have been partially validated! This system may need to be fixed somehow for the future. 24 hours later, same 9 partially validated votes. Where is the electoral commission? I'd have already been done with my share by now if I'd been on the commission. Even if each commissioner spent 20-30 minutes per day validating, they might get the work done faster.

If only they had started sooner, and someone had thought to mention it. Gosh! Seriously though, this system needs to change a little if it carries on like this.

Worse, the 9 validated votes were from me... and I am not even in the EC!

We can also just abandon the Cosa and let the King decide on laws and the government. Very practical, no more election fraud, no long time without a government, and no more delay as a result of elections and validation of votes etc.

I'm looking to increase citizen participation, not eliminate it.

The solution is to have the SoS simply publish the official results after HE validated it (I still want the SoS to validate himself against errors), and the EC review his decision AFTER it's official.
In Canada, elections are official less than 3-4 hours after the polls close.
The person who is elected is officiall elected, but it doesn't prevent a contestation and a recount.
It's only in the US as far as I know that a swearing in is FINAL.
In case of problems, we can always have a do over, and possibly get rid/sue of the SoS if there was foul play, or have the EC be more pro-active the next time there is an election.
Halting government to wait for THREE judges is bat-shit crazy and honestly neurotic.
The SoS already swore to be impartial!

In North Carolina we have a canvassing day, normally a couple weeks after an election, where ballots are reviewed by local election boards and made official. We also have a deadline for filing election protests, and then a state board canvassing day. Swearing in for most state offices doesn't happen until at least a month after an election, and for federal offices, a bit more than a couple months (January 19-21st after the November election). Of course, during the period between an election and swearing in for federal offices, typically the winner is recognized and works with the incumbent (unless he/she is the incumbent) to ensure a safe and professional transition.

The issue is, in fact: Owen Edwards has been at a conference; and the other two High Court Justices are in a coma. Which brings me back to a theme which I hope the incoming government will take up: the Uppermost Cort is broken beyond repair, as justice delayed is justice denied.
And Cresti's call for the return of the public ballot - i.e. the continuation of the corrupt system which led to nine terms of RUMP one party government - makes me really reconsider my previous estimation that he was the RUMP leader with the most principles and the least amoral power-hunger. Seriously, due: it makes you look really disgusting.

It wasn't funny. It's the Talossan equivalent of jokes in Alabama about "bringing back Jim Crow".
