Azul!
i would like to announce the formation of a new political party.
The Talossan Workers Party is a political party for non-political people. We represent the interests of civil servants and other Talossans who prefer to stay out of politics. In the great political swimming pool of Talossa, we are perfectly happy in the shallow end. We have no aspirations to be a majority party.
Rather, we intend to focus on pushing meaningful legislation to promote worker rights and stabilize and strengthen the Civil Service. We also strongly support the formation of the Non-Governmental Organizations to promote civic and social initiatives.
We are part political party, part labor union and all for Talossan Workers!

Ián Anglatzarâ, is this the kind of thing you've always wanted? ;-)

Ián Anglatzarâ, is this the kind of thing you've always wanted? ;-) If "party" was replaced by "movement" or "assembly", it would be.

I rather like "movement." Of course, if you were to join we could revisit the name (probably for after this coming GE since we have graphic work already done).

There will be two directorates within our organization:
The Directorate of Political Action furthers our mission through representation in the Ziu. But wait, didn't I say we were for "non-politicians?" We are. While some of may be serving in the Cosa, we are not there to push feel good legislation or layering our bureaucracy. No, we are there to further the initiatives of our Directorate of the People.
The Directorate of People is our labor union and worker rights section. Were you terminated from your Talossan post as a means of retaliation? We stand up and fight. We identify holes in the system which can be brought to the Cosa through our Political Action wing.
And even if we won 90% of the vote (ha!) we wouldn't take on the seneschal's chain directly. We don't want to rule, we want to do the jobs that keep the nation running smoothly. Then we want to protect the rights of those workers. We want to see that they are honored for their dedicated service. We don't believe that entire ministries should be under the absolute rule of their politically appointed Minister. That's a threat to stability.

Correct.
My intention is to also offer nonpolitical support for those same individuals by offering my legal services in employment matters.
Hopefully in time we will attract more attorneys to do the same (and maybe even encourage others to take the bar).

The bar exam is a series if primarily essay questions on topics ranging from legal terms to Talossan law and its application. The test is quite rigorous and requires a good knowledge of law but well worth it.

I might be persuaded to join this party... as I almost founded something similar when I left the RUMP...

We still need some other parties with great traditional names like this: Labour, Socialist, Christian Democrats, Conservative, Liberal, Communist, Democratic, Republican, Green, People's/Popular/Populist... they're pretty much all there for the taking! (Hey, Miestrâ, remember the good (brief) times we had with the PSD? I obliquely quoted one of our slogans in my wedding vows!) Here's a great list to reference: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_generic_names_of_political_parties

Well, I deliberately wouldn't call the ZRT the Republican Party because Americans would think that meant conservatives.
