Look, esteemed Seneschál, whenever the RUMP signals that they're happy to repeal What's The Difference, I'll introduce a bill. I'm not introducing one just so you guys can vote it down (so you can have the pleasure of prosecuting Admiral Tim and losing your own Home Minister...) Interesting strategies of intercepting societal debates on various issue, such as the "multiple micronational citizenships" issue: First comes the advice to stop talking and write a bill; then the bill is voted down and therefor any further debate is unnecessary till the next Cosâ or doomsday. Yet another "killer argument": read the laws, don't talk about what you're wishing for before you read the laws. And then, when you've read the laws, let's talk about little amendments like the removal or the addition of a comma, or how a comma could be replaced by a semicolon. This way we are never going to get anywhere, and that's what the conservative government is sucessfully achieving. I think all opposition parties should begin to refuse to follow the nitpicky lane to stagnancy. Let's refuse to continue to "file complaints" (aka: writing draft laws that will be steamrolled down anyway) instead of talking about the big panorama of the Talossa of our dreams and hopes! Let's let our minds fly, let's act like free thinkers and designers of a new, a better Talossa!

Shouldn't one know what the Law is, before one attempts to change it? Did you intentionally neglect to notice my comment that the bill in question had some flaws that kept it from being passed?

Wow, just had an idea for an amendment to 37RZ2... "It is also a thoughtcrime for any Talossan citizen to even think about or contemplate accepting or holding citizenship in a micronation. The penalty for committing such a thoughtcrime shall be the guilty party being made an unperson." Doubleplus good idea, eh? How about huge bunches of us join Eurisia? Seriously, this whole thing is a load of bollocks.

I think it's spelled "Eurusia," although I'm not sure it matters.

Seriously, this whole thing is a load of bollocks. It certainly is a whole load of bollocks and always has been. It absolutely baffles me why we ban people from taking part in a completely harmless online hobby. No harm can come to the Kingdom of Talossa from any citizen being a citizen from some bathtubian simulated what-have-you thing that we don't recognise in any official manner. Quite paradoxical really. We can't, shan't, won't recognise bathtub micronation X, but, when someone joins said micronation we charge them with having committed a crime...thus, in effect, recognising the micronation. Hmmmm. The hard work and attention one may put into bathtub micronaton X could be better spent on Talossa? Better write a law banning Talossans from Candy Crush Saga, subreddit Gonewild, Call of Duty and political activism in the real world resident states as well then. Control. Paranoia. To be honestly honest, if I am convicted of this so-called crime against the nation and am banished, *shrug*, so be it. A nation that wishes to exert this level of control over my online hobbies that pose no risk of harm to other citizens is perhaps not the nation I want to be a part of any longer anyway.

The point of my post was to ridicule a ridiculous law. When I see two fellow Talossans I admire being slapped with...criminal charges?...over something I believe to be silly to begin with, well...what is this, schoolyard "My micronation can whip your micronation" type thinking? Lets all grow up, please. Lets change these horseshit laws. And I'll stand behind the Admiral and Edo throughout it all. 'Cause we're gonna lose some of our best people this way.

Well, funny thing is that even if we lose, the punishment is revocation, not banishment.
S if we crack open our handy dandy law books we see in 35RZ34:
Now, banishment is the point of no return. But the crime in question prescribes a punishment of revocation, not banishment. I suppose the Justices could impose such a penalty anyway but I would imagine such a punishment would be reserved for someone who joins the micronation of the fourth reich posse comitatus fan club.

Good grief, guys. Just write a bill that isn't flawed (see above)and this will all be resolved. The sentiment is there to change - but it needs to be done properly!

Better write a law banning Talossans from Candy Crush Saga Can we do that? Can we include spouses of Talossans?

What silly nonsense. We have never denied that micronations exist as a fact, we simply choose not to give them diplomatic recognition. The two are in no way comparable.

"Don't give them diplomatic recognition" and "kick out any Talossan who wants to participate in them" are a leetle far apart.

Of course, and they're two different laws. I was just dismissing the idea that the law pretended that they didn't exist, since that's silly.

I am in total agreement with Iason and the ZRT (not ZPT, I never agree with them) on this. This is an absolutely absurd law and should be not only repealed but stepped on and beaten with sticks. What's our next step, go after people who have accounts on online games like WOW because that's another "country". I'm a prince in my Pathfinder game, should I brought on charges for that.
Part of being a member of a Micronation is the joy of communication with people from around this great world and the ability to express ideas and thoughts freely. This act goes against that and is HORRIBLY wrong.
I do not write this to be petty but to really express my extreme distaste for this law and what it has brought about.

Yes, by all means you should not only be removed from those type of games, brought on charges , and have your computer taken from you for a time of not less 10 years. Now, THAT'S absurd.
