Another week, ladies and gentlemen. You know what to do, easy and simple. Three clicks to change Benito's name.
I think we'll repeat this procedure until we'll have 2 or 3 finalists. The winner will be put in a bill to be submitted to the Chancellery and then to the Ziu. Right, Maestro?

These proceedings are sickening and I will have no part in them.

Are we changing the provincial name? That seems like a good idea, as we're currently named after a murderous dictator.

Again with what? Are my concerns unjustified?

Again with what? Are my concerns unjustified? Yes, because the name of your Province has been changed from the Dictator you allude to , to a more benign name that does not necessarily apply to a single person. It could refer to Benito Juárez, Benito Lynch, Benito Rosales, Benito Santiago, Benito Zambrano, or any of the other 30+ people with the name "Benito" that are referenced by Wikipedia.

Thank you for sharing.
Yeah. Juarez, or Lynch... sure. It COULD refer to those. We have a province that used to be called Mussolini, and now it is called Benito. But, oh wait, not THAT Benito. That's a totally logical application of Occam's Razor.
Does fighting any form of change on all fronts exhaust you? Because the mental gymnastics you seem capable of would sure as hell tire me out.

There are a lot of things that I don't fight about, nor care about changing. What does bother me is when people come in and want to change things, just because they can. For years now I have asked why people want to fix things that aren't broken. I've also asked why people revisit the same issues that have been asked and answered multiple times. Like this one. Did you review the arguments the last time this was brought up? Or the time before? Or when the change was made from the former name to the present name? But, in the end, this is your Province, not mine. If you all want to call it "Joe's Place", that's your prerogative.

Yes. I did review the arguments. There seemed to be support for changing it FROM Benito, but then the Admiral howled blue murder and castigated folks for everything short of treason.
I reviewed the previous arguments, and am unconvinced. I don't seek to fix whats not broken, but I see it as broken. The days of the boy's drinking club are over, Talossa is growing. It is changing.

I meant, from the discussion when they changed it from Mussolini to Benito.

Mick, with all due respect. Your implication that it isn't broken is quite incorrect. The name 'Benito' could be quite offensive, especially in combination with the flag of Benito. Now, I am not really some person who takes a bow for political correctness but even with a small fragment of empathy you should be able to comprehend the issue that Sarac'h is trying to make clear here. It makes me kinda wonder if you really know who Benito Mussolini was and what his actions were. Because if you knew, why would you deny that it's broken?

I'd like to see both of them into a gaskammer and then hear what did they feel inside. I just laughed when I saw Asmorescu, whose behavior was just stupid and puerile, writing that this is sickening. You are sickening, Admiral! Your title implies some civility, some sense of duty, but what you and the "Sir" (whose conduct and education are just horrible) Preston did is simply, merely, straightforwardly STUPID. Isn't he just a moron? Shame on you!
