As it seems there is no formal procedure for opening a session or established presiding officer, I'm going to unilaterally grab the virtual gavel and declare myself Loud Voice with Gavel in Hand, and declare the Chancellery open.

(If the above is wrong, somebody slap me down, please.)

The first order of business of this newly assembled Provincial Chancellery will be to elect a new Maestro from among its members, as the provincial Constitution mandates.

(If the Constitution allowed it, I'd let y'all decide whether to either confirm or replace me as Loud Voice, but the Constitution says the Maestro gets elected first).

So, nominations for Maestro?

Furthermore, I would like to recommend we all acquire gavels and bedeck the Chancellery with a variety of percussive surfaces.

I would also like to assure our honoured Fiôvân visitor that I have no intention of touching his Cunstavál at this time, much, I am sure, to said Cunstavál's relief.

Okay, just going to move this along to a vote now, since nobody else has been nominated.

(48 hours probably isn't really long enough for nominations through this medium, but I believe S:reu Asmourescu already has the support of at least six votes, so I'll push this along a little fast. As soon as we have a Maestro, I'll be proposing some basic procedural rules to regularize this sort of thing in the future. Anyone who objects to the way I'm handling things, feel free to yell and tell me how I should be doing it.)

So, since we have one nominee, the question before you, Chancellors, is, "Should Chancellor Asmourescu be the Maestro of Benito?"

Voting will close, hmm, at 11:59:59 PM in the time zone of Metropolitan Talossa on July 31st. Chancellor Asmourescu will be considered elected if the number of Üc/Yes votes exceeds the number of No/Non votes, and as a form of quorum rule, at least six votes are cast (including explicitly cast abstentions).

(If people think the deadline should be later, I'm open to that.)

Hey, sorry about not getting in on the vote. I didn't have consistent internet access the past few days because I was travelling around in Switzerland and Italy. I'm back in the States now, though, so I'll be more in touch.
