Wow, they sent you their tax records? I wonder if you could forward those to me, please? They are obviously very free with them, and I am curious.

Tony-
It seems to me that if you don't like Talossa, because, as you say, "nobody recognizes it"
Perhaps you should go look at some micronations?

I've started a political party, paid money for this.. opened website for the DPD, and the Embassy. I just don't agree with certain persons, and that is not something that would mean that I dislike Talossa!

That would be a bit of interesting information to have. To confirm their "real land" and such things. Off topic: By the way Dreu... I just figured out your 'location'... Fuhgeddaboudistan... nice

Butting in late here- I would like to echo the sentiments said by earlier commentators on this thread- I do NOT support micronations.
Micronations are a very vouge term, even if the do have purported land claims. If you look at the New Texas website, they have only...what...23 forum posts total...none of which have been updated since 2007?? They obviously aren't active governmentaly in the least possible sense of the word.
This brings into question that, if they are an "active" government, why isn't their government discussing and their citizenry being citizens on their own micronational portal?
Micronations are just too numerous and ever changing for Talossa to waste her time on. Like S:reu Caçeir said- we have become a stable nation by not being involved in "foreign" affairs. Just like the young United States before us, Talossa recognizes the fact that we must first develope as a nation both politically and culturally until we can take a guided step into the frenzied world of international relations.
These micronations are generally so inactive and so unstable it would not be worth spending a fraction of time getting "recognition" from them, whereas we could be spending our time developing inwardly as a peoples in attempts to someday gain real international recognition.
A micronation is like a burning leaf- they burn brightly and then crumble to dust. Why? They have no fresh wood (citizens) to throw on the fire. Why try to heat our whole house with a burning leaf when we can grow and place more and more logs on our own hearth?

This brings into question that, if they are an "active" government, why isn't their government discussing and their citizenry being citizens on their own micronational portal? A question I've brought up as well. Why does a seemingly year-dead micronation reappear randomly and seek diplomatic engagements with the Kingdom? It'd be nice to know exactly what goes on in the government and citizenry of the Principality before we even consider engaging in any sort of relation, formal or informal, with them. A micronation is like a burning leaf- they burn brightly and then crumble to dust. Why? They have no fresh wood (citizens) to throw on the fire. Why try to heat our whole house with a burning leaf when we can grow and place more and more logs on our own hearth? Probably the best micronational metaphor I've ever heard. Welcome back, Benzy (Imma start callin' you that).

If anyone cares what my opinion is ...
I don't think we should acknowledge every Joe Micro-nation that comes knocking at our door.
The Kingdom of Talossa has been around a very long time - longer that some of our Citizens have been on this Earth. The Kingdom was around, before Al Gore invented the Internet, even before there was BBS's . Authors have written about us, the Kingdom has appeared in Articles and News stories.
All these "hobby countries" - well, they are the fleeting imagination of those that want to play "Queen for a Day" . And we should take that into account. Those that want the glory, without the work, should be dismissed.
With that said, I have offered the King my services as SoS to go out, and visit the New Texas place. That's what Secretaries of State do - I asked Condoleezza, and she said "go for it" .
Also, before the King can visit, the Captain of the Guard would need to go check out the security of the site. That's in my other job description.
So, if the Ambassador would be so kind as to send me the physical address of the New Texas nation, and a phone number and contact name, I'll be happy to set up a time to meet them, and visit their lands.
Heck, I went to Ireland and Colorado on State Business, I can go to ::shudder:: Texas.

I would go as well, if so requested, to help ensure the security of the King beside the worthy SoS and Captain of the Guard. I sure hope this Prince doesn't serve Coors to visiting dignitaries...
