You are actually earlier than most. Which in and of itself is alarming.
A majority of the RUMP have voted, but even with the remaining in the affirmative it will require action by some members of the CLP also in the affirmative.

Point of order - while the seats that I have had previously assigned have been transferred to others, it would seem that my vote which was registered on this issue should still be posted as it was made within the context of the ongoing discussion, and that my seats would transfer after the first of November to the new discussion of the Clark. Otherwise, I suppose all my previous votes on previous issues would be similiarly removed.

Responding to S:reu Brigâ's Point of Order: I can't imagine that it's going to make a difference in the present case. If it does, I suppose the Cort will let us know how to interpret the law. Meanwhile, my thought was 1) that there was no 2/3-of-the-Cosâ approval before S:reu Brigâ left the Cosâ; and 2) that just as an MC might choose to change his own vote, so the new holders of the nine seats formerly held by S:reu Brigâ might choose to reverse his votes. They are, after all, the current holders of those seats; and voting on the resolution is under weigh.

I appreciate the SoS analysis, and perhaps there will be no difference in the final tally. My intent was to make my vote, then relinquish my seats for future votes, but if that is not the proper procedure I will accept the manner in which the MPs who have assumed those seats shall vote. For the Clark, there is a defined voting period, but for this special issue it appears that the vote timing is open ended and can continue until a 2/3 majority is met.

The Senator for Cézembre points out that as soon as the vote passes both houses of the Ziu and the Cort, we as a nation will be required to immediately choose a new King. There is much to be considered here, thus dictating prudence, discussion, and an eye for the future of our nation.

I am sure that that the debate will extend for a very long time regarding the selection of a new monarch, be it a King or a Queen.
The fact that that debate will occur should not prevent swift action on the issue at hand. I am no longer one of the persons who will vote on this, but I remained concerned as a citizen that from the time of the report of Sir Fritz to now is nearly a calendar month.

The Secretary of State notes (begging Lord Hooligan's pardon) that there is no longer any legal requirement that a King be enthroned or elected immediately on the vacancy of the throne. Rather, the OrgLaw says that in that unhappy case the Ziu may elect a King.

Fellow Members of the Cosa:
I rise to vote in favor of this resolution. I do so after hesitating for quite a while, hoping that efforts could be made to address Sir John's concerns. But that hasn't happened, and so my eagerness to act to accomodate what I trust are our King's mother's wishes has reasserted itself.
If the King's Guardian should in the end decide to abdicate on the King's behalf, I--like Sir John--urge that this legislature proceed with great caution and deliberation in deciding what steps to take to restore the Monarchy. Rushing to elect a new King would be a very, very, very ill-advised thing to do.

I thank the good knight for correcting me as to the current requirements concerning the speedily election of a successor, should the current monarch -- may God save and protect him -- relinquish the throne.
I join with the rest of the nation in the hopes that this matter will be resolved with appropriate speed, wisdom, and prudence, and overall, with the utmost respect to the stated wishes of His Majesty's immediate family.

I agree with Laurier and Hooligan....to a point. We should not draw out selecting a monarch simply to draw things out, nor should we rush to choose one just to be done with it. Surely, among all these fine people in the Kingdom of Talossa, there is at least one or two who would be fit to take the throne? It is a real sacrifice. No more holding of offices, no joining or forming political parties, always putting Talossa first. Think of the other Kings of Talossa. Were they chosen or elected? What was the time frame? I think then it was more one mans decision than anything else. For the first time, HE is not selecting our King, we are! Now lets get to work so that in the New year a New King sits on the throne as we begin a New era for Talossa.

Crawls out of the backwoods in the vicinity of Brunswick, ME with no food, no equipment, just some tattered and muddy clothing on his cold, wet, hungry frame. Eventually makes a successful attempt at standing, brushing the mud and gravel off, taking a shower, eating a meal. Resumes living out of my vehicle, stealing internet when possible.
