My name is Matáiwos Vürinalt, and, if it so please the Squirrel King of Arms, I request the assistance of the College in designing and obtaining arms for myself and my lawful heirs.
My favorite colors are green, blue, and black.
I would like a "Per bend purpure and vert, a bend sable."
In the upper right I would like a gold fleur-de-lis and in the bottom left I would like two keys crossed diagonally, one gold, the other silver.
Thank you.
(For those of you wondering about the symbolism: green to represent the fertile land of Trier, my family's homeland, a bar of black to represent the history of Germany that taints all Germans, purple to represent the occupation of my family back in Germany-wine growers, crossed keys to represent the city of Trier as it is in the coat of arms of Trier, and then the fluer-de-lis representing my Quebecios/French ancestry.)

Ah okay, well, stratch that then, perhaps we can just stick a symbol of France on there or something.
Of course, it should be more Quebecios, I don't know of any symbols other than the fleur-de-lis and I think that's off limits.

(Click link for large graphic) personal.otz.net/zathras9/heraldry/hr18.gifOf course, it should be more Quebecios, I don't know of any symbols other than the fleur-de-lis and I think that's off limits. The fleur-de-lis is not a reserved charge, but certain uses are. For example, multiple gold fleurs-de-lis on a blue or white background are used by the Bourbons. A white fleur-de-lis on a purple background is reserved to the World Organization of the Scout Movement. One must be careful. As a sign of St. Peter, the two keys in saltire or (two crossed keys) is a symbol reserved for the Pope. Should we start calling you Benedict? Your design also has some problems with balance and complexity, but the Odd Fellow will be happy to help you work through these. -- Jaune Sabre Herald, Squirrel King at Arms

So what about ditching the key and going for an eagle, similar to Sir Samuhel Tecladeir's arms? Of course, I'd perfer it to not be red, but perhaps black with a blue eye? www.kingdomoftalossa.net/heraldry/sam.gif

"Your design also has some problems with balance and complexity, but the Odd Fellow will be happy to help you work through these. -- Jaune Sabre Herald, Squirrel King at Arms" Wait...I leave the building for lunch, and I get another project? That'll teach me! (chuckles) Well, to get on with it- There are many representations of Birds (and specifically Eagles) in the Heraldry world... Perhaps you might want to look around the internet, to find one that is unique and what you want? Here is just one place to start: www.heraldryclipart.com/

Crossed keys have already granted by this College in the arms of S:reu del Cjar. In his arms, they come from his birth municipality of Boxtel in the Netherlands, which is one of that country's most Catholic municipalities. Trier used crossed keys on its seal because its patron saint is St. Peter. Bartleby Pursuivant

If I can, after reading up on some heraldry stuff I'd like one silver and one gold on my coat of arms.

Okay - I misspoke. Here's what I should have said: As a sign of St. Peter, the two keys in saltire or (two crossed keys) is a symbol reserved for the Pope and S:reu del Cjar. Good catch, Brother Bartleby! -- Jaune Sabre Herald, Squirrel King at Arms

I really hate being so indecisive and adding this to my request as you guys work on it, but I'd like to add one more thing. In honor of my grandfather who passed away in June, I'd like 7 silver Marian Stars ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marian_Star) to symbolize the 70 years he was alive, his deep dedication to the Virgin Mary, and my Roman Catholic faith. Is there a way you could do this? I'd be deeply honored if you could. If I've thoroughly confused you guys, I have a template of what I'm somewhat thinking of saved on my computer and I could easily email it to you. þaraþias! ~Matáiwos Vürinalt~

By all means, mail it.
It's our duty and honour to abide by your request, and produce YOUR Coat of Arms.
You can mail it to me @
mickster@alltel.net , and I'll make sure it gets to the College for discussion.
