That sentence might be true, but that's not exactly what I meant. By "I don't get why everyone seems to think that [...] politics is the only way to remain active" I meant holding a political office, not caring about politics (or writing about politics) in general, as I was referring to what Françal said a couple of posts before. As he was talking about political offices (specifically, inability to hold one), that's what I was referring to as well as I was following up on his statement.

And let me follow up again: it's perfectly possible that in a couple of years I will grow tired with politics and do what I like most inside Talossa as well. Perhaps developing Talossan language software, who knows? I've already started thinking about it, and to me it seems like a perfectly reasonable way to spend time in Talossa outside politics

I apologize for posting here in this topic...

I am the one that talked with Miss Ann-Elizabeth Shapera and explained to her
that she needed to reply the message of oath of citizenship and how to do it, since that she didn't knew about it...

I feel bad because if I had done that earlier all of this could be avoided...
That is why I asked the SOS if the deadline for her could be extended, so that Miss Ann-Elizabeth Shapera would not be impaired, for not doing something that she didn't knew she had to do.

I think Ian Plätschisch thought the same thing and that's why he elaborated this Act
Then Miss Ann-Elizabeth Shapera could have her citizenship granted, without any harm...

About the Act:

"(...) THEREFORE The Ziu resolves to issue a grant of citizenship to ANN-ELIZABETH SHAPERA"

I don't think anyone is against that
The problem is:

" (...) A Royal Jester shall be appointed by the King to an indefinite term, and serve at his pleasure. The task of the Royal Jester shall be to entertain the Royal Family and the people of Talossa.


  In keeping with the spirit of jesters (which is to say, brutal honesty deriving from a lack of ambition), the Royal Jester shall not hold any other office in the Kingdom of Talossa during his/her tenure.


The act says that will be created the post and the king shall appoint someone to fill it, The law does not necessarily says that Miss Shapera should be appointed, says she could be, being a perfect candidate for it, the King doesn't need to name her for the position if he doesn't want it... If that is the problem... or the 1.10 and 1.10.1 can later be amended if necessary... 


I just wish that Miss Shapera would not be impaired, and that she felt welcomed here in our Kingdom as a new citizen...

Don't feel bad.  The law sometimes makes things more complicated, but there is no point in having them if we ignore them whenever we feel like it

This has been well established.  You may want to speak with your senator concerning your opinion on the controversial part of the bill.

Yeah, I'm not going to change my mind. I'm abstaining because I support the first part and oppose the second part.
