Mr President, I would like the Convention to decide on the following amendments, which will clearly state that the ZRT is a Republican party - in the sense of "less monarchy, preferably none" - first and foremost. With the coming launch of a "liberal/peculiarist" party and whatever Admiral Tim's got planned, as well as the relaunch of the Progressives, the middle-ground of Talossan politics will be crowded. We must be absolutely clear why you should vote for us rather than the ModRads or any of these other parties. And that's because we're republicans.

1) That plank 7, "Republicanism", shall now become Plank 1, with the other planks renumbered accordingly.
2) That "Republicanism" be amended thus:
We are republicans in the broad sense, who hope to ensure that the Talossan state eventually becomes a true res publica, whose institutions are ultimately answerable to the people rather than to the whims of history. We are proud of the history of the Talossan Republic, 2004-12, the Revolution which founded it, and the peaceful process of Reunision which brought it to an end. The Republic taught us that far from being the property of one, Talossa is a community of many, and can be governed by that community. Thus, we move for the continual lessening of the political influence of the Monarchy, in hope of its eventual replacement by a New Constitution where the office of Head of State is chosen democratically.
3) Under plank "Nationalism": replace "Perry" by "Benedict" (this corrects an error on my part)
4) Under plank "Democratic dirigisme": delete subsection (e) as having been achieved.
