In reference to the recent Senatorial Election ...

If I may address my fellow Citizens ... A bit of outside clarification, if needed?

OrgLaw:
Article IV: Election to the Senäts

Section 10. If a Senator vacates his or her seat before the end of the term, the executive of the province shall appoint a Senator to sit until the next General Election or the next provincial election in that province, whichever is sooner, at which time the people of the province shall elect a Senator to serve the remainder of the term. If the provincial executive fails to appoint a Senator within a fortnight of the vacancy, the King or his Cunstavál shall appoint the Senator.

This means that if Senator Elect Miestrâ Schivâ, UrN decides to vacate the contested seat, a replacement will be named to be the Fiôván Senator for the remainder of that Term for that Senator.

I'm afraid you're wrong sir, you forgot the most relevant part: « the executive of the province shall appoint a Senator to sit until the next General Election or the next provincial election in that province, whichever is sooner, at which time the people of the province shall elect a Senator to serve the remainder of the term

This means that if Senator Elect Miestrâ Schivâ, UrN decides to vacate the contested seat, a replacement will be named to be the Fiôván Senator until the next Cosa Election or the next Provincia Election; and this newly elected Senator will serve for the remainder of the original 2 or 3 Cosa cycle. (A new election will be held when it should have ben held if the seat wasn't vacated).

I've been diagnosed with ADHD. Coffee doesn't help; I'm plenty jittery as it is.
