Can't we use lottery results or something?

If the House of Commons takes a lead, of course, but we've waited for an awful long time already and I don't like depriving Ataturk of its democratically elected government.

As much as I like that there could be an agreement of sorts, im honestly unsure if making a joint assignment is legal, under the constitution. However I think I shall leave that for someone who has more grounding in legal training to figure out, or the collective will of the commons. For myself though im personally not against a joint assignment, but I don't know about the rest of the commons. And in response to the lottery, we could do that I suppose, but in fairness to the ZRT and MRPT I believe it should be done by the commons members unaffiliated with those parties, which may be a problem.

Yes, fine with me. Please give it to Evan if possible, since he is more active in Ataturk than I am!

There is no House of Commons yet, is there? As such, the current Constitution is the ruling document? Unless I'm mistaken, the only way to proceed is that one of the two parties who are tied for the final seat -- the MPRT and the ZRT -- must voluntarily yield so that the seat can be assigned? In related news, I'm a bit confused by all this now....

Why? If the ZRT and MRPT agree that we let the draw of a lottery or the stock exchange or something random like decide which party gets the seat, why does it require consent from the other house of commons members?

I should think so that we don't step on anyone's toes. If Ataturk want us to decide in a certain way we should abide by that decision.

So does Ataturk want us to decide in a certain way? Or does Ataturk just want us to decide?

Phrasing it in a sightly less complicated way - are there any objections to the MRPT and ZRT deciding on who will yield the seats based on the lottery result tonight? If not, we'll proceed as Gluc suggested.

If not, we'll proceed as Gluc suggested. I'm not sure that it matters if there are objections. The decision needs to be made, period. The method you choose is your business. For the record, I do not object.

In all honesty I think that the commons just wants the parties to decide, so if the parties would like to run the lottery themselves then I would support that. And I believe that was earlier suggested and supported by Senator Holmes earlier in this thread, so I see no problem in this.

Thanks for the compliment, but I'm not a candidate.

For the record, Carlüs and I have agreed that one of our parties will yield based on the results of the euromillions lottery www.national-lottery.co.uk/player/p/lotterydrawgames/euromillions.ftl , which will close in 15 mins from now specifically the 3rd number, which has a 50/50 chance of being odd or even. If its odd, the ZRT gets the seats, otherwise it will be the MRPT.
