Among other reasons: I hope that the upcoming Cosâ election will bring us all the change that Talossa has been waiting for. That is, a non-RUMP government. The only party that could possibly lead such a government is the ZRT, with all hands on deck. I think Dame Miestrâ should help to make such a government a success, from the inside.
On the other hand, the NPW (my preferred political party) seems to be on hiatus, so as the only half-way active member of this party I am a de-facto independent candidate in the Senatorial race. Which is a good thing, as a Senator should represent his or her province rather than a party. De facto I am the independent candidate in this race, the one who could become the all-Fiôvân spokesperson in the Senäts.
Of course I am not a political neuter. There are some things that I want to see in Talossa, so I will try my best to make them happen. First and foremost the Cosâ should be elected in free and secret elections, thus Talossa can take pride of her immaculate democracy in this. In other words, it's the introduction of the secret ballot that I will push for.
Any more things? Yep, a simpler, more comprehensive way of presenting our laws, to increase their accessability by the average legal layman.
So vote for me. I will not be your superman, but your honest proxy in the Senäts.

But the honest truth is that any ZRT government will be hamstrung with no Senators in its corner - even if we have a friendly Independent and a couple of ModRads. What I'm offering is strong leadership of a reform agenda in the Senäts. An independent, even the most competent one, can't offer the benefits of a tight relationship with a Cosa caucus
I suppose I should open up to Fiôvâns of RUMPish persuasion, though, and ask them if there's anything I can do to assure them that I wouldn't be able to represent their concerns fairly..

If after the election the Senäts would still be dominated by a majority of Senators of a conservative persuasion, they won't be interested in your strong leadership, I'd guess.
Aside of this, the Senators are supposed to represent their province in its entirety, rather than a particular political persuasion. I am not standing for a party, and the party that I am in will not be represented in the Cosâ, so here's your somewhat impartial candidate for a balanced representation of the Fiôvân lifestyle.
