Working through all the laws and compiling lists now. What had begun as a basic legal code of major laws has now become complete codification. Sorted up til the 33rd Cosa, and will finish the rest probably tonight. I'll post the lists then, again, of the laws that will be incorporated, those that will be repealed and not incorporated, and those that will be ignored (i.e. the ephemeral and appointment ones).

It might be an idea to have an informal committee to work on this? It'll be easier to assign a set number of laws per committee member that way. Just a suggestion - it might make it easier for people to pitch in that way?

I think a committee would slow things down - I can swoop through a dozen laws in a day, after all, and don't have to have them approved by a gaggle of other folks. Much faster, in the end. As mentioned, I think the thing to do will be to have people double-check individual sections. After I finish the first run-through, then it would be good to have an attentive person to go through the Digest and make sure I didn't miss any laws, while another checks all the repealed ones to make sure none of those are mistaken or typoed, and then of course other individuals can give a hard look at each of the individual sections to make sure there are no accidents there, either. Those are discrete tasks that need a second eye, and can be done independently.
It's entirely possible something might come up, though, that leaves me unable to do the compiling. In that case, I'd set out the whole thing and my principles for making the code of laws, and a team of volunteers could take up what I've been doing. But that shouldn't happen, inshallah.

At present I want to help but I'm not exactly sure how...

You can start from the first recorded Clark and check that each extant bill is accounted for, either in my list of "to-do", the two lists of incorporated bills (first two lists of the bill), or the list of repealed and not incorporated bills (third list of the bill), if you would like to contribute

Something else that someone could do: go through the list of laws and assemble the numbers of all the many many acts that establish days of remembrance or months of remembrance or whatever else like that. I haven't collected those, but I guess they should go in.

I can't seem to find 6RC3 (The Vote in Advance Act) in the text/lists; should that be present or have I misunderstood the criteria for its inclusion?

Nope, you just have noticed what I did not - that for whatever reason, I didn't include the acts before the tenth cosa! Why the heck did I start at the eleventh cosa? Weird.
See, this is why it helps to have someone else look over your work!

Although 6RC3 will just be repealed, since it is deprecated.

I'll start from the 10th Cosa for now then! Glad to have helped in some way, at least.

DONE! Went through them all. Not going to post the lists again; see the current list here: wiki.talossa.com/User:AD/LCTasks that need doing: -Assembling a list of the holidays and honorary days bills -Checking to make sure I didn't miss any other bills (every bill that has current effect should be in ONE of the lists now) -Waiting to see whether or not anyone objects to the repeal of any of the repealed bills -Deciding whether or not to retain 6RC24 15RC19 23RZ2 or 34RZ31 I'll be able to run through the list of bills to incorporate pretty quickly, since a LOT of them are very short and not complicated. A lot of national trees, animals, etc. So we're really getting 2/3 of the way there now!
