Would it be out of place to assign an official position to every person who wants one?
In short, we could create an official role to every citizen, which does or doesn't do anything.
We might have the postmaster, the master of ceremony, the inspector general of the accounts, the treasurer, etc...
Personally, I would like the title "Aqsaqal" which means Elder, in Turkish (where Ataturk is from...), since I am the oldest Atatürk citizen (by citizenship date).
It wouldn't confer me ANY power or rights or responsabilities.
I just thought it would be cool if each of us could have a title when we are NOT in a position of power (Senator is a title in itself).
What do you guys think?

I think this is an intresting possibility, if you are willing to write up a bill for this id ne happy to propose it on your behalf. We need something to clear out the tumbleweeds.

M-M have some funny titles: I think we should try to outdo them! If you could write a bill on this, Marti-Páir, that would be splendid.

Hi, neighbours.
Did this ever happen? If not, it's time.

A fun idea, but of course, it implies a government to give and oversee such titles. If we every end up with a government, I think this would be a fun -- and very Talossan -- thing to do.

Fun's the word. I'd like to get involved in some substance too, but fluff is just as important. A variety of engaging cultural and popular practices to appeal to a variety of people. I don't know how this province got its reputation for being so quiet, politically and otherwise, but I'd like to see a few initiatives take root to build new bits to our culture over time. I'm totally willing to take the lead on one such project and assist on another. If we all did, we'd all have a sense of ownership for at least one aspect of overall development, and an obligation to contribute to someone else's project too.

The reason I didn't do it yet is that the chancery is keeping me occupied.

If my services as a native Turkish speaker and enthusiastic sometime-to-be-linguist should be needed, I would be happy to help! Maybe this way, I could start a Talossan business as a "translation service".

One crazy idea I had for Ataturk was to Talossify the orthography of our titles. For instance, Başbakan becoming Báschbacan or some such.

The reason I didn't do it yet is that the chancery is keeping me occupied. No judgment here; you've got a lot on your plate. But there must be a few of us who have some time to devote to projects like these. I'm game, and eager to run with some of the more experienced local Atatürkids.
