Greetings again!
I have 2 bills to vote on this month. How would you all suggest I vote on them?
44RZ24 - The One More Step Towards Individual Freedom Act
44RZ25 - The Let's Not Have Short Acts or Amendments Act 2.0
Any suggestions, concerns?
So far, the suggestions are 2 - 1 for a yes vote on both.

This is how, and why I voted:
44RZ24 - Upon reviewing the wording of the Act, I have some concerns as it is written.
Section 2 refers to a "Black List". It is vague as to what would qualify for a Micro-nation to be placed on this list. I wish it would specify what are the triggers to "Black List" a Micro-nation.
Sections 5, 10, and 11 refer to "Criminal Act" , but it does not include the penalty or punishment for being convicted of violating this Act. I find this troubling. If we are going to declare something as Criminal, we must also describe the results of being convicted of the same.
Sections 7, 8 and 10 refer to "Offices" held in a Micro-nation. I have a two-fold concern with this. One: "Office" is a very vague term - is it an appointed Office? Elected Office? A governmental office can run the gambit from city council to Leader of the Nation. Two: I feel there might be a conflict of interest if a Citizen of Talossa holds an "Office" in Talossa, and an undefined "Office" in a Micro-nation.
Finally, there are numerous spelling errors in the Act. A spelling error in the wrong place can get an Act thrown out in a Cort case.
Because of all of these concerns, I have no option but to vote : Con.
44RZ25 - I find this to be well thought out, well written, and freakishly long. Therefore, I must vote : Per

Thank you for explaining, I did not notice so many things wrong with 44RZ24!

I do however believe that if my concerns were addressed concerning 44RZ24, it would stand a better chance of passing.
I don't know if it can be done without making the Bill a monstrosity - unless it was split into 3 or 4 different bills.

Section 2 refers to a "Black List". It is vague as to what would qualify for a Micro-nation to be placed on this list. I wish it would specify what are the triggers to "Black List" a Micro-nation. I think its up to the ziu to decide on the reasons to blacklist a nation. What triggers would you suggest? Penalties are actually mentioned in all three cases. Agree. Almsot all active Talossan citizens hold offices. Likewise, participating in other micronations probably also include some function in the other micronation. I dont think this has to be a conflict of interest. [/quote] Yes, you're probably right about this. Alex and I are more than willing to work with you on revising the act.

Suggestions: - If it's up to the Zui to determine the qualifications to be "blacklisted" , it should be stated in the Bill. What is stated is how the Micro-Nation can be removed from the "black list" . Also, a time table for the Ziu to act on that. Otherwise, the Act cannot move forward as a Law.
- Penalties: My apology, I did not see them when I was reading the Act . I retract that statement.
- As for holding Offices in both (or multiple) Micro-nations- without specifying what Offices are involved, I must still maintain it could be a conflict of interest. For example, what if the Citizen held the office of "Minister of Defense" for multiple Micro-nations?

Why not just get rid of the blacklist/whitelist?

Why not just get rid of the blacklist/whitelist? Then what standards / method would you suggest to take the place of a list?

Well, we have a ministry of Foreign Affairs, right? Have them set up some form of "diplomatic policy."
Really, who cares what people do with their nonTalossan time? So they're the MoD in 3 different nations... and good for them. I don't see the problem.
