Florencia resident Brook Glafke paid a visit to RT soil this weekend to meet with the Royals and see the pictures and souvenirs from Europe and the Ancient Berber Homeland, and of course to discuss Talossan politics.
A hoped-for meeting with JJ fell through due to scheduling conflicts, but Brook will be back for TalossaFest (probably in August).
Glafke noted that he might contest the Senate race in his home province of Florencia, though he was waiting to see who else got into the race.

Actually "Glaefke" ... Formerly it had an umlauted "a" but that was a Brookish affectation of days gone by. ;-)

As for the latter, Brook said that the subject of Talossa didn't even come up.

Well, let's be honest about this: Brook KNEW for sveral days prior to his visit that I was able to meet with him Saturday - pretty much the whole day & evening, and that Sunday was totally out for me because I was spending the whole day and evening in Chicago with my Sigoth. Thus, by not arriving in "Das Talossagebiet" until something like 9 or 9:30 PM Sat. he blew it. Admittedly, this was his fault for screwing up his departure time - but then GOD took over and gave him a monsoon to drive through in Wisconsin.
I did meet with Brook at Das Jahnhaus for about an hour or 90 mins. Monday am, when he was enroute back to Minnesota. It was a nice visit. He presented JJ with an early birthday gift of a 1/32 scale die cast, painted model of a P-51D Mustang (a US fighter plave from WW II to the uninformed). Brook said he'd never drive here and back again; from now on it's the plane. Which is fine for him but it might mean someone has to do all the driving for him every visit! Hopefully he'd rent a car; not like he couldn't afford it. ;-)

Hmmm... again, he stated that Talossa wasn't even mentioned.

Indeed.... Incidentally, my intention up above was to indicate how taciturn he can be about things. I mean, I ASSUMED Talossa would be discussed at some point when you were together - heck, he was with me all of an hour and a half and I brought it up! ;-)
So, when I asked about Talossa and he said it wasn't discussed I knew that was typical Brookish Bull - of which he is prone.
He's ok in small doses, though. :-)
