Happy Dominion Day to all those Canadians lurking on this message board!
Dominion Day, for those who do not know, is a holiday in Canada (July 1st) which celebrates when Canada became a self-governing Dominion in 1867. It is kind of like Canada's birthday, although not really because Canada existed before Confederation. The holiday is now called, "Canada Day," but I refuse to refer to it as that, since I find that term rather misleading.
"God Save Our Queen, and Heaven bless, the maple leaf forever!"

I kinda like the term "Canada Day" myself, especially since Canada is hardly refered to as "Dominion" anymore.

My favourite name for a national holiday is one invented several years ago by some now-defunct micronation, but fortunately copied by Talossa: "Mindless Patriotism Day"!

Does anyone have a list of Talossan holidays?

I would also be interested in such a list, it would be a definite help in the creation of a Talossan calendar. Plus it would be nice to know the different holidays so we could celebrate them!

I.M. used to be responsible for maintaining the list and publishing the appropriate holiday on the appropriate date; I wonder if he still has the list?
