Re: talossa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=6240On the one hand, this esteemed Kingdom citizen does not know what Talossan viciousness really is. A look through the Witt X archive (or a reading of 'A Nation Sundered' at will prove to all of you having perhaps a thicker skin in virtual space in regard to today's times is somewhat of a virtue. Today's Talossa does not know the meaning of the word 'atmosphere'. Here's praying it never does. That being said, this citizen does have a point. In some quarters on one side...or the other...or both,...there has been recently trolling, name-calling, and generally-somewhat-bad behavior. You know who you are. For my part, if I've offended anyone, and if I'm offending anyone with this post, please accept my apologies here and now. Let's be civil, people. I don't want good Talossans, thin-skinned as they might be (or not), to leave in such a needless and senseless context. Reunision will not merely be a political process, but a very-personal one for all of us. And it will not be easy. A measure of non-chalance, restraint, and empathy from both sides of the Vuode Wall (including myself) is begged of all of us. GV

A few election seasons back (around 2007-8) things got bad in the Kingdom between some members of the RUMP (myself included) and some members of the opposition. The end result was the losing of a citizen and a very prolonged period of inactivity that took us a very long time to truly rebound from. While things were never as bad as 2004, the potential was there. I think that shocked some of us into not letting our emotions dictate ourselves on Witt. Nevertheless, while I have not seen any major negativity, I'm sure it exists. But I am amazed at the general calmness of reunision and am really impressed with my fellow talossans.

After which you immediately lowered yourself to kindergarten name calling. Huh??? Where do I get to 'kindergarten name-calling'?? Now, I'm baffled.

It's hard when all most of us see of Talossa is pixels on Wittenberg. I expect most of these little scuffles would be moot once everyone gets to hear and see each other in-person with body-language and real-live voices.

On the other hand, they might just be more likely to explode like Grubi-Amy-Ben.
