So, as some people probably remember, the original "crown" of Talossa was a fire department dress hat, traditionally called the "Romanian Train Conductor’s Hat." Ben, of course, still has the original. But has the Kingdom ever acquired a replacement?
Similarly, traditionally the Seneschal was sworn in on a copy of the book The Loom of Language. Does the modern Kingdom of Talossa have a copy?

There has been some kind of a "wig" for the Chief Justice of the Cort, too, hasn't it?

There has been some kind of a "wig" for the Chief Justice of the Cort, too, hasn't it? 38RZ3 establishes a chain of office for the Seneschal, a stamp for the Secretary of State, and a silver-haired wig for the "chief justice", presumably actually meaning the Senior Justice. The OrgLaw requires that "Justices and all other judges shall wear judge's wigs while exercising judicial power."

I saw a photo of "Chief Justice John E. wearing his wig" somewhere, maybe in G. Valcadac'h's collection of Talossan photos.

The timeline for the acquisition of those items was left deliberately fuzzy. Currently I believe we have gotten one - the SoS seal stamp. I think? Other items are awaiting the benevolence of someone or another.

I’d also recommend something more up-to-date than The Loom of Language.

I’d also recommend something more up-to-date than The Loom of Language. Well, that would require, in fact, an amendment to the OrgLaw, which specifies The Loom of Language. Anyway, its function is purely traditional, not a matter of how up-to-date it is. (Hool mentioned to me just a little while ago in a chat that the Kingdom has, indeed, acquired a Milwaukee FD hat of the same sort as the original "crown".)

I’d also recommend something more up-to-date than The Loom of Language. How about replacing it with "In the Land of Invented Languages", by Arika Okrent?

Yes, in 2007, after John was enthroned, I telephoned the Milwaukee Fire Department and they sent us an identical replacement, which they identified as part of their retired uniform. His Majesty does indeed have the Crown, though it is not his size (his head -- not surprisingly -- is a bit too big for it).
His Majesty has been photographed with it, and I am sure we can find those photographs or ask him to provide new ones -- we should definitely have an "official royal portrait", shouldn't we?

There was plans, if I recall to have the Seneschal chain of office made out of Beer Bottle Caps. The manufacturers of said chain are still awaiting a delivery of caps from Lord Hooligan which, I'm told, will be shortly ready for dispatch. So, stay tuned...

Here is a photograph from TalossaWest 2007 showing His Majesty wearing the crown. (Photo courtesy Sir Mick Preston [rear, in fez], who recalls, upon first meeting the Prince of Prospect [standing at left] remarking, "Your Majesty, the more I learn about Prince Patrick, the more I think I should reconsider my stance on the whole 'Hereditary Monarchy' question.")
