It gives me tremendous pleasure to announce the return to active citizenship of Istefan Perþonest (Steven Ehrbar), Talossan since 1998, whose citizenship was administratively mishandled during the sudden, unexpected, and awkward transition of the Chancery from Secretary of State Madison to Secretary of State Woolley.
His Majesty King John, when informed of S:r Perþonest's appearance and valid explanation for his failure to vote that led Secretary Woolley to inaccurately conclude that the failure was intentional and constituted an organic renunciation of citizenship, condemned the ineptness of Secretary Woolley, and commanded (using his most regal and commanding tone of voice) that S:r Perþonest's name be immediately restored to the list of citizens of Talossa, and of the province of Benito.

Istefan, I am more glad than I can say to see you back with us. Probably the most painful thing I've experienced in my Talossan life has been the loss of so many of our long-term citizens in the 2005-2007 period. We completely lost track of you, and couldn't find an address or phone number; it's really a matter for national rejoicing that you found your way back to us.

Talossan since 1998? Wow, that's 98 years in doggie years! And still a long time even in people years, compared to most of us.
I notice your location is listed as Texas, while your provincial assignment is Benito. I presume a move took place in the interim?
Anyway, I hope Secretary Woolley appreciates what a benevolent King we have, and welcome back.

In Secretary Woolley's defense, I moved about one and a half thousand miles between my last communication with his predecessors and his entrance into office, which meant that nobody connected with Talossa had a valid address, phone number, or email address for me. I guess he could have, at his own expense, hired a private investigator or similar—but I think that would have both been above and beyond the call of duty and, well, a little creepy, too.
So, when Secretary Woolley next faces the King (in the shaving mirror?), he should look him in the eye, rather than hang his head.
