" I feel we need to both clarify this item, as well as establish that the individual in charge of running the election for each term will be responsible for interpretation of the election law. I'll write something up soon."
So are you saying that if the Secretary of state is running the election he would need to announce the result for opening of the next session and he would decide who could assign assembly seats

He would just decide questions of interpretation of the law, I suppose.
I again would like to nominate you as GGS. I repeat my nomination, and urge you to accept.

We can look at the laws after, I suppose.
I'm sorry but I cannot accept and inline with the wishes of the large majority of M-M voters who voted for the RUMP I must nominate you S:r Davis as GGS.

Perhaps we could both accept our nominations, then hold a vote?

Well, s:reu, I am forced to very, very reluctantly accept your nomination. And since there is then only one possible result, I conclude that I am now the General Grand Secretary of Maritiimi-Maxhestic. Thank you for your support.

We will now move, as per the order of regular business I laid out last term, to ensure the next election will occur smoothly. I will draft and send to the national Secretary of State a request to take charge of them. If at a later point in the term we decide to conduct them ourselves, we can rescind this request.

Wont that require a change of the current election law ?
"They will be conducted by whoever is chosen unanimously by the outgoing Provincial Assembly; if no one is so chosen, then the Senator for the province shall be required to conduct the election. Elections shall run for exactly two weeks."

Not at all. After it's written, we will vote on it. Assuming you do not oppose the measure for some reason, it will be a unanimous vote designating the SoS as the person to conduct elections.

While we are looking at the election law issues maybe we could state that the Head of the party is the person named in the Sticla. That would clear things up a bit.
Also We could amend the Election law so that the SOS automatically conducts the election and a vote on who should conduct the election would only be needed if the SOS advises he is unable to do it or the assembly wishes to do it itself.

As the only other member of this Assembly refuses to reply to me or acknowledge me or my rights as a member of this assembly to be heard. I wish to make it known that I vote against any and all future motions during the term of this Assembly regarding designating the SOS as the person to conduct the next elections.

S:reu, just because I have not had time to return to these deliberations in the past week does not mean that I am ignoring you! I work a full-time job and am also pursuing my MA at university - sometimes I am simply busy. I apologize for any perceived slight.
I said recently that I would write and propose legislation on the election law issues you mentioned. If you would like to do it instead, then you are more than welcome to write and propose appropriate amendments to the law. I oppose, however, a provision to automatically require the SoS to run the election. I believe that it is productive to always force a discussion of this sort (as we are having right now) to determine if it is what each Assembly would prefer.
