Good evening my fellow Benitians!
For those who have been out of the loop, let me catch you up to speed. Recently, S:reu Flip Molinar resigned his position as Senator of the Sovereign Province of Benito, leaving a vacancy. As Maestro, appointment of his successor fell upon me. Because we had important legislation pending, I appointed myself to avoid Benito going into the next Clark without adequate representation in the Senats. I did this, however, with the caveat that we would hold a special election to coincide with the General Elections at the dissolution of this Cosa so that our province can trust in a democratically elected representative.
I wish to announce my intention to complete S:reu Molinar's term in the upcoming general election.
I have been a citizen of Talossa since 2006 and have served as the Minister of Defence and currently serve as a Capitan in the Talossan Navy, a position which I have held since 2007. Prior to assuming the Senate seat following Flip's resignation, I served as Maestro of Benito. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Scranton. I am currently pursuing a Masters in ancient Greek and Roman History.
During my tenure as Maestro, we drafted and passed our constitution which was proclaimed by King John. We laid the foundation of our legal system by establishing the Provincial High Court.
Now we find ourselves at a crossroads. Our province has declined in terms of activity. And we can change this. We can revitalize the provincial website and generate activity outside of Witt. We can do lots of things, but I need your help.
I need your help to assist in coming up with new and exciting activities to keep people engaged. I need your help by providing feedback so I know that I am representing your interests. And I need your help to remain in the Senats until the expiration of this term in 2012.
As the General Election approaches, vote for Asmourescu for Senate and the PP for provincial government. We've done a lot so far and with more time, we can accomplish even more.
