I, Ieremiac'h Ventrutx, Seneschal del Regipäts Talossan, with all duly vested authority and stuff, do hereby and forthwith proclaim that: WHEREAS Neda Agha-Soltani, the young woman that has rapidly become a household name around the world, has died at the age of 26, this June 20th, 2009, and WHEREAS Neda in her final moments of life has become the iconic image of the Iranian nation's opposition movement, and WHEREAS Neda stated that she only joined the protest to say that she wanted every vote to be counted, and WHEREAS Neda's death was at a peaceful protest with out other violence, to be cut short by a sniper's gun fire, and WHEREAS we are reminded by Neda's sudden, tragic, young and very public death of the words of James, "What is life? A mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes," now THEREFORE the people of the Kingdom of Talossa are by this proclamation called to remember the soul of "Sweet Neda", by spending this day and the following in the mourning of her loss. The citizenry of Talossa are encouraged by this proclamation to offer its support and condolences. Done under my hand this 25th day of June, 2009, in the 30th year of the independence of the Kingdom of Talossa, and the third year of the reign of our Sovereign John. Ieremiac'h Ventrutx Seneschal del Regipäts Talossan

My most heartfelt condolences to Neda's family and friends. God rest her soul in the highest of Heavens.
It's things like this that make us love our peaceful country more and more. Violence is definitely NOT the way to rule a people.

Ms. Soltani, was one of the first martyrs in the Iranian movement for freedom but she is now a symbol that will endure.
