Dear Citizens of Cézembre, My name is Tycho van Die. I’m a Cezembrian for a few weeks now and from now on I will be representing the FGP in Cézembre. The FGP wants to bring Cézembre back to life. This is needed because there doesn’t happen much in Cézembre. Last year the Cézembre got a new constitution, but other than that the current Séneschal hasn’t been very active. There isn’t much information up-to-date about Cézembre. The website doesn’t work, the provincial sub-forum shows lists about l’etats and about Cezembrian citizens which are at least one year old and I’m not even completely sure which constitution is the right one. The FGP wants to change these things. We want to pass legislature making it obligatory for the Séneschal to maintain a website or a forum with an up-to-date list of the current etats and a list of all existing legislature. Also we want clear dates for the election of the Séneschal and clear dates for legislative sessions. Like I said, we want to bring Cézembre back to life. If you vote for us during the next provincial elections, you’ll help achieving these things. FGP, Actually working on Cézembre. PS Even if you have different ideas for the national elections, even if you’re a member of another political party, voting FGP provincially will be voting for a better Cézembre. It isn't about national politics. It's about an active provincial government.

So you're promising to keep editing lists that quickly go out of date that should really be deleted? Also, do tell me what we should be doing beyond chatting here and getting to know each other? See Alexander's points about activity levels in M-M. We're hoping to organise a CezembreMoot for this summer, as you should have noticed. I'd hoped to be on Cézembre itself this summer, but money's an issue. Cezembrian peerage has just restarted development, with a new Dean of the College of Arms.
Voting PP-CRO in Cézembre last time also got you one of our very best Senators, one of the best we've had in several years, in fact.
Vote PP nationally, CRO locally, because, against the healthy inertia that is Talossa's standard state, we've actually managed to get things done, nationally and locally. Vote on records, not promises.

So you're promising to keep editing lists that quickly go out of date that should really be deleted? And by quickly you mean once every eight months? The cezembrian people should know who is actually running the province. You may think Cezembre should do nothing but chatting with a rate of one message a week, but I think there should happen more than that. Look at Florencia for example, they have a provincial assembly which is actually passing legislature. Look at Benito with it's great website. Cezembre doesn't have any of that. It's just sleeping and is late late for work. Someone should wake it.

No, citizenship lists are regularly put out of date and can be accessed in an up to date form via the main website. The Etats seats are listed in the thread where parties assigned them, though hey, we could have that put in a useful form on the main website, you might be right. Provincial life will not pick up (beyond tokenistic Etats activity and constitutional tidying) till we have 10-15 active citizens checking this forum each week and posting several times.
But things like a Moot, like the Peerage, etc - things I've led, part of my proven record - those are things that can be done and done well in our current context.

There are active Cezembrians, who are only active on national level. If the Etats and the Séneschal are active, they might get more involved in Cézembre as well.
I have to admit the moot you're organising is a really good thing, but just for the peole who probably are actively involved already and only for English people. Online, Cézembre should also be living.
You say provincial life won't pick up, so we shouldn't do anything about it. In the Netherlands there is a saying: "Nooit geschoten, altijd mis." It can be translated into something like never shot, never hit. We could at least try.

And although the FGP apparently joined the PP I still hope we do.

I applaud the efforts of the FGP, and will be happy to assist as I am able. I did have cezembre.org for awhile but that URL lapsed, however, I could obtain another site if that is desireable.

A new website could be useful and pretty, but how would one make it "active"? I'm not against the idea; I'm just not sure that it will achieve what the FGP think it will.
