We, John, by the Grace of God King of Talossa and all its realms and regions, King of Cézembre, etc., etc., pursuant to Article XV of the Organic Law, and authorised by the two Houses of the Ziu and by the suffrages of the Talossan people, do proclaim that the Organic Law of the Kingdom of Talossa is hereby amended by the adoption of The (Further) Separation of Powers Amendment (38RZ10).
And we do request and require of our trusty Scribe of Abbavilla that he forthwith amend the online text of the Organic Law in accordance with this Amendment, taking care that the unamended text also be made available. And we caution the Scribe, in amending the text, to avoid the deletion from Article VIII, Section 6, of the language which was earlier this year inserted thereinto by the adoption of The Seat Security for Legislators Named Temporary Regents Amendment (37RZ9), notwithstanding the unfortunate fact that the author of 38RZ10, in his ignorance, left that language out of 38RZ10. That is to say, Article VIII, Section 6 now incorporates both Amendments, and reads in its entirety:
Except as otherwise provided by law, anyone eligible to vote in Talossa is eligible to hold any governmental position, including Member of the Cosâ. However, neither a reigning King, nor his Consort, nor a Regent during his regency shall hold any seats, either in the Cosâ or in the Senäts, nor shall any Senator hold any seats in the Cosa. But if a member of the Ziu is appointed Regent, and does not wish to resign his or her seats, a temporary replacement shall be appointed who shall occupy the Regent's seats until he or she is no longer Regent or his or her term of occupation of those seats expires. The method of appointing the temporary holder of the Regent's seats shall be specified in law.
Done by our hand royal at the city of Lone Tree in Colorado, this 21st day of October, being the Feast of Saint Hilarion and of Saint Ursula and her companions, martyrs, in the year of salvation 2008, of the independence of Talossa the 29th, and of our reign the 2nd.
