A PDF of the final election results is here:
www.execpc.com/~talossa/electionresults.pdf
I have had trouble accessing this file from my home computer, however (please let me know if you have similar problems and I will re-upload it), so here is a quick summary of its contents.

**************
1. National voter turnout: 29/35 (82.857%). This was a very good result for a Talossan election.
2. Cosâ results by province and party:
CÉZEMBRE PROVINCE elected 16 seats. The MN won all 16 seats. (This was the only single-party sweep in the country.)
FLORENCIA PROVINCE elected 22 seats. The MN won 16 seats; the CLP won 7.
ATATÜRK PROVINCE elected 49 seats. The MN won 28 seats; the CLP won 14; the ZPT won 7.
VUODE PROVINCE elected 43 seats. The MN won 17 seats; the ZPT won 17; the CLP won 9.
MARITIIMI-MAXHESTIC PROVINCE elected 22 seats. The CLP won 18 seats; the OTP won 4.
MARICOPA PROVINCE elected 32 seats. The MN won 24 seats; the CLP won 8 seats.
MUSSOLINI PROVINCE elected 16 seats. The MN won 8 seats; the ZPT won 8 seats.
3. Final certified Cosâ results (of 200 seats):
MN 108 – majority government
CLP 56 – largest opposition party
ZPT 32
OTP 4
4. Senate elections.
Vuode: the incumbent senator, Amy Durnford, received 80% of the vote (R. Madison, J. Madison, H. Madison, Durnford). Gary Cone received 20% of the vote (Cone). Durnford is duly re-elected.
Mussolini: the incumbent senator, Wes Erni, received no votes. 100% of the vote went to Tom Buffone as a write-in candidate (he voted for himself). The vote cast for the ZPT party (by Jean Williams) was discarded in the senate race as the ZPT had no endorsed candidate in the race. Buffone is duly elected.
5. Referendum results.
Measures which were “approved” are now a part of the Organic Law.
Measure A, to ratify RZ1.8.04, establishing uniform rules for elections to the Senate, was approved with 100% of the voters voting their approval.
Measure B, to ratify RZ2.8.04, establishing uniform rules for elections to provincial assemblies, was approved with 85.71% of the voters voting their approval. 14.29% of the voters voted against the measure.
Measure C, to ratify RZ7.9.04, establishing “Stand Tall, Talossans” as the national anthem of Talossa, was approved with 100% of the voters voting their approval. [I.M., I will have the CD of this for you tomorrow!]
Measure D, to ratify RZ9.10.04, extending the rights of former Talossans to rejoin Talossa, was defeated with 52.38% of the voters (11 total) voting against the measure. 47.62% (10 total) voted in favour of the measure. An extraordinarily close vote.
Measure E, to ratify RZ10.10.04, adopting Prince Louis Adam Guzmán as heir to the Throne, was approved with 95% of the voters approving and 5% dissenting.
Measure F, to ratify RZ12.10.04, the House Law of the House and Dynasty of Rouergue, was approved with 90% of the voters approving and 10% dissenting.
Measure G, to ratify RZ14.12.04, limiting the election control powers of the Secretary of State, was approved with 100% of the voters approving.
6. Provincial results.
CÉZEMBRE PROVINCE: The House of Burghers consists of 16 seats. All 16 seats were won by the MN, which may form a majority government.
FLORENCIA PROVINCE: The House of Shepherds consists of 22 seats. 15 seats were won by the MN, and 7 seats were won by the ZPT. The MN may form a majority government.
ATATÜRK PROVINCE: The House of Commons consists of 49 seats. 28 seats were won by the MN, 14 seats were won by the CLP, and 7 seats were won by the ZPT. The MN may form a majority government.
VUODE PROVINCE: The States General consists of 43 seats. The RV/VIP (Raßemblamáintsch Vuodeán/Vuode Independence Party) won 34 seats, and the ZPT won 9 seats. The RV/VIP may form a majority government.
MARITIIMI-MAXHESTIC PROVINCE: The as-yet-unnamed provincial legislature consists of 22 seats. The CLP won 18 seats and the OTP won 4 seats. The CLP may form a majority government.
MARICOPA PROVINCE: The Legislative Assembly consists of 32 seats. The MN won 24 seats and the CLP won 8 seats. The MN may form a majority government.
MUSSOLINI PROVINCE: The Corporative Chamber consists of 16 seats. The votes cast in the province in the provincial race were as follows:
-----Tom Buffone (TLFN)* [m]
-----Jean Williams (ZPT)
*TLFN: Talossan Liberation Front Nationale: Contact person, Tom Buffone.
As a result, the TLFN won 8 seats and the ZPT won 8 seats. No party has a majority, and arrangements will need to be made within the Corporative Chamber to form a government.
************
The national election used paper ballots for the first time in several years on a wide scale. This experiment was an unqualified success story. Of 29 votes cast in this election, 19 (65.5%) were cast using paper ballots. The use of paper ballots was undoubtedly responsible for obtaining the votes of Mark Franklin and Martin Bertagnon, who are notoriously difficult to contact. Enthusiasm for the new system seems clear, as ballots were sent back from addresses in Talossa, the USA, Canada, France, and Argentina. We recommend continuation of this system.
All information in this report is believed to be accurate to the best of my knowledge, and will be updated if events warrant. It is duly submitted this Monday, 14 February 2005.
