It seems that both Vuode and Florencia are intent on redesigning their flags, changing them from the crazy and vexillologically invalid designs to something slightly less crazy ("Vuode: We want to kill these doves").
As Senator for M-M, I would like to be the first to proclaim that our province, for one, happens to like our bizarre and way-too-complex flag.
Combining a wide variety of elements - including a subset of the national flag, dividing complex bands, an anchor crest, and the provincial colors - this flag has a blazon which is well beyond my capacity to describe... some manner of argent a scandinavian cross sable charged with an anchor emblem labeled with the numerals "8-1 93" on a circular field argent, first canton the Talossan flag, fourth canton a tricolor vertical of red, yellow, and traditional indigo. But even that clumsy attempt does not express the magnificence of our flag, which not only breaks the North American Flag Association's suggested limit of three colors, but shatters that limit and beats it silly with a total of seven! It also boldly displays lettering, to the contrary of another rule, and does it not even upon one of the main fields but upon a charge within a quartering! As for keeping it simple... this flag is so complex, not only can a child not draw it from memory, but few adults can manage to do so without flashcards! If someone displays the M-M flag, then you know they MEAN IT!
I, for one, am happy to salute the red, white, blue, green, yellow, white, black, and anchor!
