St. Brendan's Day is being discussed as a possible Provincial Holiday in the Republic [Forgive me, but I monitor the Republic's transmissions]. I ask my brothers and sisters if there is any merit in the idea of a common Provinical Day celebrated in Cézembre that may be the sign of a rapprochement with the Republic. If not as a means of rapprochement towards a common Talossan homeland then on May 16 as a celebration of the antiquity of the Cézembrean Province and St. Brendan's links with North America? I'm sure there are always reasons not to have a provincial day but I think it's time. I'd be particularly interested to hear from residents of Cézembre itself.

I personally like this idea, and would be very happy to use it to forge link of friendships with our fellow Talossans in the diaspora.

I wholeheartedly agree and suggest that the Etats bring this forward as a motion promptly.

For what it's worth, the Kingdom already observes St. Aaron's Day, 22 June, as one of the regular dates for granting honours. The last St. Aaron's Day honours list describe the holiday as the "festival commemorating Saint Aaron, Abbot of Cézembre, who welcomed Saint Brendan of Ireland, also known as Brendan the Navigator, and Saint Malo of Wales, Bishop of Brittany, upon their arrival in Cézembre, and who was the first Talossan to be canonized."
