Dear Citizens,
If I'm acepted as a citizen, I'd like to join a political party in the Provînçù da Cézembre. What would you recommend as a political party for a committed liberal who is suspicious of centralsiing control? I'm interested in advice and information in this matter.

*butting in from Mussolini* This is a fair question, and many have asked it in the past, but due to the problems that arise by discussing this with Prospectives make this a hard topic to talk about. We want to aviod party indoctrination before the Prospective is a citizen. I would suggest reading the political parties page on KoT.net ( www.kingdomoftalossa.net/index.cgi?lingo=&page=Parties). Our more progressive and liberal parties are the LRT, CCCP, and DPD. Of those, the LRT is the largest. The CCCP is in a political alliance with our conservative party, the RUMP. Again, we can't try to indoctrinate you until you're a citizen, but you can read the stuff yourself and post your own thoughts. ~Vürinalt

For the record, I wouldn't label any party with the terms "Liberal" , "Progressive", or "Conservative". Last session, The RUMP wrote and submitted many Acts and Amendments that altered Talossa and it's government to the core. For Example: - The Share The Cosâ Act
- "The Standing on His Own Legs" Amendment, and most importantly
- The Provincial Government Unshackling Act (Amendment)
These were not fluff, nor were they window dressing. And by NO means were they "Conservative". They were QUITE "Progressive". I wouldn't use terms applied to other National Governments to pigeonhole Political Parties in Talossa.

Yes, agreed, and I suppose the bills proposed by the LRT yet do not quite stack up to those.

Thank you for the advice and impartial comment. Very informative.
I like the idea of Viensità Ciumisa Cézembre in that it seems very much for integration
The party seems quite pleasant from the limited 'blurb'. Regrettably, they have no premierships and so are commencing at a low level of participation. But what do I know?
On the whole, I think I’ll be voting LRT if and when accepted as a citizen. I’m ready and willing to walk the roads to deliver leaflets and join the parade. Long live the King!

So far, only the RUMP has had parades, btw.

As a Liberal, I'm not usually happy to join parades. you never know where parades lead to although when arranged by good people who have no ill intentions a parade sanctioned by His Majesty cannot be a bad thing. Who knows there may be a party at the end of it.

We do have maypole festivals though! And Leonardo Da Vinci has not yet RSVPed for our Renaissance festival, but that doesn't mean he's not coming!

There is a discussion on another board about coins and currency. Would the political parties support currency issued by Talossa and has such a change been agreed by and within the various parties. Is there a common view on this matter or is this a point of division.

There is a common view on this matter, most of the political party's divisions come from within the Ziu.

Here in Cezembre, my word is law, except when it's not. And I say Mick Preston is a lyin', connivin', Buddhist sumbitch.
Wait...
I'm going to stop watching Clint Eastwood films now.

There's two kinds of people: the kind with premierships, and the kind who dig. You dig.
