From the Office of the Royal Archivist [/b][/center] Hey Spuds! In my gathering and compling of Archives for His Majesty's Royal Archives, I found a Constitution of Cézembre, which was adopted by you spuds, on May 12th 1997 and may now be found here: www.kingdomoftalossa.net/index.cgi?lingo=&page=CezembreConstitution It has also been linked at your Province's Homepage on the Website. Enjoy, MN, Royal Archivist

Cézembrians, you may notice that this find by our Royal Archivist affects the names of your provincial institutions. Apparently they are not "Sénéchal" and "États de Cézembre," but rather "Dude" and "House of Burgers." The Cézembre constitution is obsolete in most respects, but the provinces are still allowed to specify the names of provincial institutions, and it looks like May 1997 is the last time this was legally done. Where do the French names come from? Well, after the loss of our electronic archives in June 2004, King Robert I had no copy of Cézembre's constitution, and he threw out those names as his best guess in this message. He took them from Cézembre's previous constitution, which was adopted in 1991 and repealed in 1992. But, as our Archivist's other research has revealed, the terms in actual use in Talossa's web resources from 1999 through 2004 are "Dude" and "Burgers."

One might suggest that the entire issue be resolved via a form of constitutional convention, as with Vuode - to confirm and enshrine a working, new constitution.

"Dude" is the title of the leader of the Republic in this province, and perhaps we had adopted the earlier name for differenciation.

I believe we should take this confusion as an opportunity for a "do-over"!
