Azul,
I as Senéchal l think that we need to have “a Motto of the Province” If s:reu Brigâ is agreed with me let we discourse the issue. Let all citizens participate. Let the College of Arms be participating in this debate.
Let me explain what is “motto”:
A motto is a phrase or a short list of words meant formally to describe the general motivation or intention of an entity, social group, or organization. Many countries, cities, universities, and other institutions have mottos, as do families with coats of arms.
Mottos are traditionally written in Latin or Romance languages, as well as in English or German. There are many exceptions: Fraternities and sororities typically have their (usually secret) mottos in the Greek language; in modern heraldry, for example, the mottos of the State of Hawaii and the University of Hawaii are in Hawaiian, and the motto of Nunavut is in Inuktitut, while in England the motto of the County of Somerset is written in Anglo-Saxon.
A canting motto is one that contains word play. For example, the motto of the Earl of Onslow is Festina lente, punningly interpreting on-slow (literally "make haste slowly").
In heraldry, a motto is often depicted in an achievement of arms, typically on a scroll below the shield, or else above the crest as in Scots heraldry.
I am for questions and comments in a line!

I would suggest a motto along the lines of the fact that on a given day, the sun first shines within the territory of the Kingdom upon Cézembre (assuming my understanding of the longitude of Pengopats is correct), so something along the lines of greek mythology for eos and helios, or perhaps carpe diem, or how Fiji trumpets its position, or some such can be worked into the motto.

Azul, This is some expressions from Latin. They are related with the sun and the light, as offer S:reu Brigâ:
Adversus solem ne loquitor - Don't speak against the sun Sine sole sileo - Without the sun I'm silent Transit umbra, lux permanet - Shadow passes, light remains (the best I think) Veritas Lux Mea - The truth enlightens me / the truth is my light Fiat lux - Let there be light Lux et veritas - Light and Truth Lux mundi - The light of the world Ex Oriente lux - The light from the East

Perhaps these could be translated into Talossan? Or French? Or Both?

Perhaps these could be translated into Talossan? Or French? Or Both? Just to know it, in the Republican Cézembre we have the official motto in French and el ghelþ: UNIE DANS LA DIVERSITÉ — ÜNIT DÎN LAS DIVERSITAS ("United in Diversity")

Transit umbra, lux permanet would appear to be an excellent motto!

Azul,
I think that this is the most good choice!!! Do we vote about the new motto on États de Cézembre or we accept without vote?
