Azul! Yesterday, Friday, 7 January 2004 was a historic day for Talossa. El Bicoloreu, the Talossan national flag, was formally raised for the first time at Napoleon's game store in Shorewood, to the playing of a glorious rendition of the Talossan National Anthem, Stand Tall, Talossans, complete with choir and pipe organ. The flag was formally raised by Fritz, Talossa's newest citizen, and his son Jason, a current prospective. Pictures were taken. Unfortunately, they aren't online yet, because my computer took a poop yesterday and will be in service until Tuesday. (Fortunately this was a hardware/software issue and not anything virus-related.) But they're cool pictures. As for the anthem: The CD with the choral/organ version of the anthem has been received from England, and man, is it impressive! Kind of hard to make out all the words but still... I hope to have this online in the middle of next week. It is the closest thing to an orgasm or a religious experience that you're likely to have in Talossa for some time. Unless you're married to a Talossan. Ben P.S. This also means that except for darts into the library to check Witt, I will be off-line until Tuesday at the earliest. Chat me up by phone if you need to contact me.
