Kiev, Ukraine, P.S. Ukrainian voters celebrated Talossan independence day by emulating Talossa's June elections and electing democratic opposition candidate Viktor Yushchenko to the presidency, ousting the previous totalitarian oligarchy and beginning a new political era in their country.
Already, angry and disgruntled members of the old pro-Soviet totalitarian régime, based in the eastern part of the country, are talking about "secession" and declaring "independence" because they didn't like the results of the election. Sound familiar?
With 96 percent of the vote counted by sunrise, Yushchenko was leading Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych 52.6 to 43.5 percent, election officials said.
Talossa's King Robert I hailed the election of the dioxin-poisoned Yushchenko as a victory for democracy and for patriotic Ukrainians who want to see their country succeed. "They did it on our independence day and they're an inspiration to the world."

"Ukrainian voters celebrated Talossan independence day by emulating Talossa's June elections and electing democratic opposition candidate Viktor Yushchenko to the presidency, ousting the previous totalitarian oligarchy and beginning a new political era in their country." Mr. Cone, you're no Viktor Yushchenko...though you do sometimes look as if you've been poisoned! "Already, angry and disgruntled members of the old pro-Soviet totalitarian régime, based in the eastern part of the country, are talking about "secession" and declaring "independence" because they didn't like the results of the election. Sound familiar?" Yeah... sounds like the RT, in the spirit of its founding, should enthusiastically be among the first to respect the rights of the pro-Russian break-off state, should there be one! WORLD SINGULAR SECESSIONISM LIVES!! "With 96 percent of the vote counted by sunrise, Yushchenko was leading Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych 52.6 to 43.5 percent, election officials said." I'm surprised it's not closer to 60-40 or even 65-35. Well, at least Viktor Dioxinenko has apparently won. "Talossa's King Robert I hailed the election of the dioxin-poisoned Yushchenko as a victory for democracy and for patriotic Ukrainians who want to see their country succeed. "They did it on our independence day and they're an inspiration to the world." Hear hear! *sigh* If only the Nazis had been "nice to the Ukraine," we might not be having this conversation! (very inside joke)

> Mr. Cone, you're no Viktor Yushchenko...though you do sometimes look as if you've been poisoned! Gary is back from Mexico, where he was without internet access. He and I talked briefly the other day, and I was anticipating some declaration on Wittenberg from him, but evidently he's having too much holiday cheer! >> "Already, angry and disgruntled members of the old pro-Soviet totalitarian régime, based in the eastern part of the country, are talking about "secession" and declaring "independence" because they didn't like the results of the election. Sound familiar?" > Yeah... sounds like the RT, in the spirit of its founding, should enthusiastically be among the first to respect the rights of the pro-Russian break-off state, should there be one! WORLD SINGULAR SECESSIONISM LIVES!! Feh -- breaking off from one state to join another is just plain old-fashioned. > I'm surprised it's not closer to 60-40 or even 65-35. Well, at least Viktor Dioxinenko has apparently won. The best description of the whole dioxin affair was in Sunday's paper, saying that it reads like a clipping from an Agatha Christie novel. >> "Talossa's King Robert I hailed the election of the dioxin-poisoned Yushchenko as a victory for democracy and for patriotic Ukrainians who want to see their country succeed. (very inside joke) A 'hear, hear' from I.M. to something I said? Wow, I must be getting senile in my old age. Ben

"A 'hear, hear' from I.M. to something I said? Wow, I must be getting senile in my old age." Ben Hey, so now I ONLY cheer things that senile people say!? Umm... I suppose I'm taking that the wrong way...must be getting senile or something. Anyway...yes, Ben... ocassionally you are "hear hear!"-worthy, even in *my* book. And THAT's something to be proud of!
