With the conditions of citizenship being met and the proof of identity being confirmed by the Ministry of Immigration; I am pleased to declare Fritz von Buchholtz a citizen of Talossa. Welcome Fritz!
Our newest citizen will have one year to complete the mandatory Civics Test.
On a personal note, I wish Fritz all the best no matter what path he may choose to follow in Talossa.

Azul and Salutations,
I am honored to be a member of Talossa. My personal goal is to increase the membership with like minded board gamers and to make Napoleons the flagship store of the kingdom. In a recent discussion with the King I made known my wishes to be of service. If things go as planned the Talossan flag will soon fly outside Wisconsins oldest and largest game store. I mentioned to Ben that I would like to see an annual Talossan event to help raise income for the Kingdom to assist in defraying some of the costs such as web sites, paper, stamps, and brochures for the general public. At this event members of the Kingdom, perhaps Immigration, could man a table to meet and greet new people interested in becoming a part of this fun adventure. As a wargamer and fencer I am proud to add my sword to the cause.

Welcome aboard, Fritz!
I am really, really enthused to have Fritz on board as a Talossan citizen. Not only is he a great person (with a wicked sense of humour), but his connections in the business and media worlds may bring great benefits to our 25-year-old nation.
I am especially excited about Fritz's 'Napoleonic vision' for Talossa. (Does that have the makings of an Ar Pats chapter title?) We now have a regular venue -- his store on Maryland Avenue in Shorewood (once the object of Wes Erni's annexationist attempts!) -- for TalossaFests and other Talossa-related get-togethers, virtually on our native soil. This will be an excellent partnership.
Fritz and I had a long (two hour) talk about Talossa, past, present, and future, the other day. Suffice it to say, a lot of brainstorming is going on now about how to use Napoleon's as a venue for promoting Talossa locally, in the Greater Talossan Area. Obviously what we want is internet-capable citizens who have a sense of loyalty to the area and who will be available for TalossaFests as well as for participation here on Wittenberg. Keep watching this space for more information on what we come up with -- and please, everyone, no matter where you are, keep those suggestions coming.
For now, we plan on making brochures available at Napoleon's promoting Talossa, with a sign-up sheet to generate a mailing list of interested persons. This has the makings of an excellent partnership, as bringing more Talossans to Napoleon's, what with board wargaming as our official national pastime, could generate some revenue for him as well, especially with the out-of-towners.
I should add that Fritz hates it when I make comments like that. He is really doing this for Talossa. If some good comes out of it for his store, I seem to want that more than he does.

This is going to be very neat!

Suffice it to say I've been trying, on and off, for twenty years or more to get Fritz to be a part of Talossa. I think, now that we're on the internet, we are (ironically) more accessible to him than before. He's a busy guy with a lot of work to do running Wisconsin's largest gaming store. He has offered to make his mailing address a generic mailing address to put up online for the RT, and we can expect an exchange of web links in the near future from our respective websites.
I first met Fritz in 1980 when his store was still located on Talossan national territory, and bought my first wargame from him that year. (SPI's original WWII: European Theater of Operations.) It was through his generosity that Ian Metairia and I were able to run the "1898 Campaign" wargame during the winter and spring of 1984 -- which brought Wes Erni, Geoff Toumayan, Tom Buffone and Jack Schneider into our kingdom. So we have a long-standing relationship between Talossa and Napoleon's which is now cast in iron.
What is this all about? It's what the Kingdom of Talossa and Napoleon's are both all about. Having fun!
Ben
