Wow. We now have two awesome bills which must be reconciled. I urge the two parties to come together and meld both pieces of legislation as they are exemplary statements on why I think we all love Talossa!

The two parties and independent representatives, you mean.

No, I mean the authors of the legislation.

The third provision should probably be easily stricken, since it will now be fulfilled by the other bill ("Sets aside $50 dollars to be donated to the Tibetan government-in-exile, the American Himalaya Fund or a similar organization or entity in order to support efforts of the Tibetan people to be self-reliant and resist Chinese efforts to upend their cultural, economic, political and territorial autonomy.")
Will that work for a start?

It sure will. We have to start somewhere don't we?

I would also suggest that the first and second provision would serve better as "sense of the Ziu" motions, rather than statutes, in the same spirit as the other bill. That way a future administration is not forced to work through repealing this if they oppose it. This should be a matter for voters, based on their desire for a party that supports it or not.

That is one area that may not be reconcilable.

I don't feel the proposed office should be mandated, only suggested. If a future administration wants to remove it, it shouldn't be bound by statute to perpetuate it until it can have it repealed.

Barry Goldwater would be proud. Get me a rain suit, maybe an umbrella too. Your bleeding heart is making a mess everywhere.

Sorry, that's my Wounded Knee. Damned Indians. Didn't they ever hear about Manifest Destiny?

Let us please stop this nonsense immediately. Actual legislation is our priority here, and relevant and civil remarks.

I don't think THAT'S the reason we should stop.
